This place is known for its quality and perfection I guess. Didn't feel like coming out of the store. The store is well maintained and the staff are very knowledgeable. There are books at the entrance to get.

Real leather goods saddles hats hides gloves all the gear needed for ranchers and those who want to be cowboys. Great service and hand made locally sourced products. The employees are awesome its what the west once was keeping tradition real

I've not been to this particular tack and leather goods shop but I've been to enough to know. This place is incredible and I can tell they deserve a good rating. Pieces of everyday working folks gear, accessories and art. Anyone who thinks it's "pricey" well it ain't. Y'all will recognize quality when you hold it, smell it, feel it and use it. The handwork, stitching, tooling, hours that goes into this stuff is incredible. I saw that one saddle for five grand. People would think "that's nuts" for something that may be put on a horse worth half as much but when you see the hours that goes into making such a saddle, the comfort, that's a steal in my book. That is one of the prettiest darn saddles I've ever seen in my life for $5K honestly, the conchos, tooling, meant to sit in for hours even if it's more for parading around on. Y'all keep up the good work and the next time I'm in the area I'll definitely stop in for a smell and a look (get me a new billfold too, I'm overdue) and hopefully get to meet one of the leather smiths working on something and pester 'em with a few questions if they work on premises.

More than a saddle shop! It's an experience. A beautifully designed display of everything Western. Specializing in handcrafted leather goods, chuckwagon supplies, children's items and 100's of books. Highly recommend.

This place is so cool!! High end items including Filson, small boot makers and in house leather goods. A collection of the finest in a very comfortable western setting.

Oh my goodness we love this store! Beautifully handmade leather goods including holsters and belts.

Some people call it "Big Spend Saddlery" but the truth is: you get what ya pay for. They're not a retailer selling mass-produced or gimmicky trash. They make high-quality tack and gear right there in the shop -- designed for working cowboys and ranchers at fair prices and they stand behind thier products like we meed them to. If break it somehow (which is hard to do), they fix it. I assume this because they've built thier business catering to the folls that work the ranches in this extremely harsh environment, and who's lives and livelihoods depends on the gear they use. If you want tack or gear you can trust at a fair price, this is the best place to get it that I know of.

And if you're a tourist passing through, this is still a great stop --- they have great books, art, all kinds of other leather-goods, speciality clothing items, jewelry, etc.

(*I wrote this review because I had dragged all my tack up to the house for a little spring cleaning and called up them up to get some expert advice on giving my tack some long overdue TLC after a year's worth of abuse on the ranch (Chinati Mtn. Area). The guy that picked up the phone answered all my ridiculous questions and it reminded me how lucky we are to have a local business that really supports and cares about their customers. I can't imagine having to depend on Amazon for what I get from BBS.

I went for a Western hat I got suspenders also. High quality. There is a lot in this store, books, apparel, decor. Worth it just to see all.

Most authentic saddle shop I've ever been in.... then again, maybe the only saddle shop I've ever been. Glad I stopped!

What a great store. They have everything you need in Western wear. They also have all kinds of tack. I had a great time looking at everything and bought a chuck wagon cookbook. I thought I’d never get my husband out of the store. He bought two belts and a hat and probably would have bought more if we hadn’t been on a tight schedule.

What an amazing place. This Big Bend Saddlery is a great look into what it happens when you combine art and quality to make products required for cowboys and calgirls that do real work. The smell of leather hits you when you enter, letting you know people are perfecting the art of leather working. You will be amazed at the quantity and variety of the awesome products made here. Even if you're not a horse person, you still need to stop by and look at the BBQ products, books, knives and other wonderful products made from leather for modern use.

We stopped in today for the first time. They have beautiful leather items including belts, wallets, and desk items. They also have saddles, hats, and so much more. You should stop in here and shop for unique gifts.

Unbelievable works of functioning art. The craftsmanship of the saddles and chaps and everything else for that matter is beautiful. It's a museum where you can purchase the items and own for your lifetime and hand down the line to your children and grandchildren. The folks working there are super friendly and the place even smells amazing! So glad I stopped in!

Visited during March 2017. Great store, nice staff, easy parking. Is leather your "thing" you'll love this place. Also western wear and books about the west and local history. Also a mail order company, check their website and order a catalog.

Nice store and well stocked. Bought Pendleton bath sheets in a southwestern motif. Well made.
