Hancock Hill Trailhead

I am glad that I hiked this hidden gem. Not only does it have the best view, but also some nice storyline. The bench and the bicycles at the top are unique. I had fun reading the entries found in the desk. It is not easy to navigate, so I leveraged all trails app to get here.

Unexpectedly gorgeous trails once you can find the trailhead! Google maps takes you to a different parking lot, below the trailhead. Regardless, my dog and I still had a fun adventure hike here today.

There are a lot of trails and trail off shoots, none of which are marked, so be prepared to get a little lost. There are gorgeous desert, plants and beautiful scenery. Bring lots of water and good shoes!

As a previous review stated, take the trail that goes directly up the hill. Not well marked but very doable. I’d consider it easy-moderate at most. Fantastic views of the city as well as the bicycle tree leading up to the notorious ✨desk✨. Completed out and back in less than an hour, stopping to take many pictures.

Amazing trailhead! It’s uphill and rocky, but we had great views of the sunrise the whole way up to the desk! There are multiple trails, but we just took the main one up both mornings we went.

Private property. Nice steep rocky terrain to start then levels out. Just follow the path .

many different hikes available and I encourage you to hike each one. we had a great time and the views are GREAT. Keep the antenna to your left if you want to find the desk. What an awesome backstory to the "desk". The cross is a great trail as all of them are.

It's a bit of a really challenging hike. Not for the less fit folk like myself.. but the new girlfriend is trying to get me in shape so I did my best. Beautiful results at the top and was a good feeling to get there. Doable for the challenge for sure. Just be careful of the rocky terrain and be sure and take the map with you. Got ours at the local information center near the college.

From the trailhead take the trail that goes straight up the hill. It flattens off at the the second big rockpile. You're almost there. Another 500 ft and you'll see the bike tree then the desk of higher knowledge. Sign the notebook. Enjoy the view!

Tough trail mostly bc the length of it. But very pretty and loved the desk ❤ even was able to bring my 2 year old just wear long sleeves if you sun burn easy
