Don't go. Stay away. They tell u have an appointment and after driving 2 hours 1 way your told to come back the next day.. like u live there and don't have a job that u can afford to stay overnight.

I called to get information because I moved to Terlingua,Tx from San Angelo,Tx. I have been with MHMR since 2013, and I know pretty much what the steps are to be able to get my medications. The person I spoke to on the phone was so rude, and hateful that I would rather have another psychotic breakdown than to deal with anyone who works in that facility. My car is not working or I would have driven the hour to Alpine just to go and make a formal complaint to the facility supervisor. Instead, I'm just going to drive the 225 miles (3 hours and 30 minutes) to Odessa and see my old doctors and staff there. They are much nicer than the people I have spoken to in Alpine.

I have a mental disorder and all they could do was give me a video chat with a dude by the name of Victor who said I am bipolar 😐

Staff are all rude, front staff likes to berate and insult patients. Small town politics at it's finest; the facility is only place in the area for help so it uses that to give third rate care to anyone needing it. There are no physicians on staff....you will " see " a nurse practitioner via tv " telemedicine " for a few minutes and then even then the alleged medical personnel do not seem to know what they are doing. Don't make complaints or voice concerns as they will retalitate against you both in the facility and in town. It's sad people who really need help cannot get it because of lack of professionals at this place. State of Texas really needs to monitor this facility more closely
