Blue Water Natural Foods Alpine Texas

I did not expect a store like this in the middle of a desert . What an amazing store with everything that you might want is available. I got the most delicious rice and chicken tikka masala from here. The person at the register was so helpful and knowledgeable. It was Christmas Eve and mostly everything was closed in this little town of Alpine. This place was our saving grace .

This place is amazing with all its herbal products, teas, spices, organic vegetables and fruits. Healthy brand can and dry goods and organic health and beauty products. I used to love to eat there, but they no longer have a kitchen. Oh yeah, they also sell wines and healthy drinks....it's a gem with lots of variety.

It's nice to be able to find fresh items that are actually organic and not just marketed as such. The variety of items is really vast, since they expanded. The staff is friendly and very helpful.

We tried to go in town at Porters, and we did not find any food that a human being should eat. Thanks to this shop, we were able to restock our camper with fresh, organic produce and products in general.
They even have a bulk section with a lot of spices, so that was nice.
It is a little bit pricey but I guess that’s the cost to pay to be autonomous in the desert for a few days.
Definitely the best stop you can make before Big Bend National Park.

This place is an absolute freaking gem! Traveling to Big Bend, we searched for a grocery store to pick up some last-minute food and supplies. This quaint grocery store had all sorts of vegan and vegetarian (as well as local meats, dairy, etc.) ingredients along with a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables ... similar to a locally run, smaller Central Market/Trader Joe's mix if you are familiar with those.

Vegan, vegetarian, standard groceries, boxed good, bulk foods, wines, beers, vitamins/minerals/mineral oils, refrigerated, frozen foods ... whatever, an omnivores delight. The staff was super helpful and I simply wish they had one of these closer to home. If you are traveling to the Big Bend/Marfa/West Texas area ... no need to pack everything in. Stop here, pick up some ice, water, and any grocery needs that you may have. They have it all and the brands appeared to be the quality ones that we are accustomed to plus some local suppliers. Safe travels!

The store has a great selection for a small town, and they have an EV plug I was able to use while shopping and eating lunch.

Wonderful, family run biz with a great selection and fair prices. Very easy stop if passing through Alpine.

This is an amazing store. It was clean and the employees are friendly. The restroom was clean and orderly, which is a plus. They have all sorts of products. I love their rewards card loyalty program. The only con is that it is a little out of the way, almost hidden. My sister intoroduced me to this store. I will be a regular shopper.

Great products and a big store. So many natural products and friendly workers. Finally have memberships for non texas locals which I love.

This is my go to grocery store any time I pass through on my way to Big Bend or Marfa. They have an huge, healthy selection, lots of fresh produce, wine and beer, and also skincare. A bit more on the pricey side than some other grocery stores, but if you’re a granola girl like me who likes particular items like kombucha, quality veggies and meat replacement items, it’s worth it.

An oasis in the desert for Celiacs! The best selection of gluten free foods and fresh vegetables and fruits. I stock up before I head to the park each time and on the way home. They have varieties of items that even Austin doesn’t have and I shop all the stores. Prices are very reasonable considering the remote area, the limited offerings around, and the need for healthy foods! GF is already pricey in large city stores so I expect nothing less from a local grocer who is doing the area a great service!!

A wide variety of goods to choose from at fair prices. It's a nice alternative to the local Porters grocery store.

Great natural foods store on the edge of alpine. We found almost everything we needed for several days of camping here. They do have produce in coolers around the store, that is the one area we would have liked to see more of.
