My husband Googled Ms. J's Cafe while traveling home. It was great! The amount of food for the price was uuhhhmazing!!!
The cuisine is southern soul food. It is hearty, well-seasoned, mouth-watering, and simply delicious!
The staff is friendly and welcoming. It felt like we had went to our family's home for Sunday dinner! I enjoyed every bite 😋!
We stopped for a second visit the very next week (the other day 😁)!

Old School roadside diner. (Sorry, no pics). The food hit the spot after 4+ hours on the road. Our party enjoyed Philly cheesesteak, wings, porkchops, and burgers. Don't even attempt the double hamburger. The ladies were humble, gracious, and attentive. The Sunday lunch menu sounded amazing. Maybe in the future. We will definitely keep them on our radar when we travel this way again. Definitely a hidden gem.

While we were traveling from New Orleans to Nashville, we found this homey place. It is a auntentic south restaurant and food is a sample of it. I ordered a catfish dinner that was perfectly fried with a delicious taste.. It was perfect. The Cole slaw salad was very good too. We also ordered a hamburger that jad a very unique flavour. This is a very good restaurant where it is worth the stop... 100% recommended!!!

Had lunch at Ms. J's Cafe and Catering Services again today. Catfish was perfectly seasoned and fried. No fishy taste at all. Cole slaw was great. Onion rings were made with sweet onions. No strong onion taste. Excellent. My husband's hamburger was so thick. Wish I had measured it, and he said it and his French fries were so good. His plate was actually enough for two people. We will be back again. Staff are so nice.

Holy Moly!!!! Please don’t tell any of my friends and family who’ve smoked me ribs, but Ms. J’s ribs are the BEST I’ve EVER HAD. Wow.

The slaw—wow! The okra—YUM! The greens! Yummy!!! Excuse the bone in the pic. I dug in (clearly) before stopping (momentarily) to snap the pic.

Hubby’s burger had thick cooked bacon—wow! Ms. J is so sweet and cooks it all!

Her sweet grands served the food. Idk about you, but I LOVE family businesses, especially amazing ones like this one!

Excellent southern and soul food served in a tiny cinder block cafe just like I would expect.

Going through on our way home to Georgia and wanted something to eat that we cant get at home. Ms J's was the perfect place. Wanted something just simple so opted for Cheeseburgers. Oh my goodness, these were the best homemade burgers cooked excellently. Putting this on our Remember this place for next time" list.

Best freaking bacon cheese burger I have ever eaten. My wife had fried catfish. Also incredible. Green beans, coleslaw and fries were also freaking amazing This place needs an award.

The food was incredible. Everything is homemade. We both got the philly Cheesesteak meal. It was hands down the best cheesteak either of us has ever had. Ms. J, the owner was sweet and awesome. We just picked a place off of the highway while traveling front New Orleans to Nashville. We are so glad we stopped here. This place is worth the stop!

This place was great, had the philly cheese steak combo and my wife had the catfish with three sides. Let me tell you all was great i even tasted the catfish all so good. We saw some whole chicken wings and cheese burgers come out to other tables and man looked good. We are planning too go back tomorrow for those to try. Also had home made cakes , carmel and pound cakes bought 3 slices one to take home to our son. Somr of the best home cooking for sure.

I really don't want anyone else to find out about Ms. J's there aren't enough tables to hold everyone if the word gets out about her food. This small white block building has some great soul food. Ms. J is wonderful and super accommodating. Go on Sunday and enjoy a meat and three. We found a diamond in the woods when we stumbled upon in this place.

This place is amazing, especially the Sunday menu. I try to go every chance I get! Ms. J is one of the nicest ladies I have ever met and also one of the best cooks around. Everything she makes is delicious!

Ms. J’s is like a home away from home. We are regulars here and Ms. J is like family. She knows what we want when we walk in the door. Soul food Sunday is our favorite. It is a real treat, and if you haven’t tried it, you are missing out. Sometimes she is running that whole show by herself. Highly recommend!

MS. J's Cafe and Catering down home cooking. The food is delicious, the best home cooking food. I wouldn't there every day if I could. The prices are very good. The atmosphere and the people working there are great. MS. J knows how to cook soul food and home cooking delicious food.

Wow Where Do I Start! Ms.J Is A Very Sweet Person. Me And My Husband Was Looking For Some Good Soulful Cooking. Everything On The Menu Will Melt In Your Mouth. From The Potato Salad Down To The Lemon Cake!! If You Haven’t Pulled Over While Driving You Need To....You Will Not Be Disappointed!

I like to stop and mom & pop places when travelling on business, and when I saw this on Maps, I had to try it. Looked at the daily, handwritten menu on the board, then at what others were eating. Ended up ordering the catfish (perfect breading), yams (buttery and sweet, fried okra (another hit), and collards (slightly peppery which made them perfect). Only downside was the packaged tartar sauce. Stop in at this place and find a hidden gem!
