My wife and I went for the 1st time, and they did not disappoint! She tried the fish and thoroughly enjoyed it.. I tried the 2 pice white chicken.. Seasoned well and fried to perfection. I tried a pork chop also and was equally impressed. I'm taking my.in laws next time because I know they will enjoy it. The service was great, and the owner was pleasant and engaging. This is my new " I don't want to cook tonight" spot. Please show this place some love and stop by. They have a DJ on Friday or Saturdays and a Soulfood Sunday meal on Sunday. I'm definitely going to go after church soon.

I don't recall the ladies name that we dealt with, but she was awesome! Super friendly, helpful, and just all around awesome! She's also the one the cooked our food, and it was top notch! I would highly recommend this place! If your ever in Montgomery, Alabama look the yellow hammer up, great hospitality and amazing southern food!

We went here for the first time to celebrate my daughter's 26th birthday. Between the 7 of us, we ordered fried and grilled pork chops, fried okra, French fries, string beans, and another side I can't remember. All of it was delicious! The drinks are worth every penny. Try the Bob Marley or Hennessey Margarita...or both because you won't regret it!

Ok let’s run this review ok The looks of it I’ll say very nice/with a class and a edge of Southern Hospitality..the food was real clean neatly plated and you can definitely tell the cooks have that old soul

The food was awesome. Those collards greens…. Can’t stop eating them. I had treated my parents out to dinner at that place . The place looked clean and smelling good . Only good thing you smell the good food ..that make you wanna take a bite of yellowhammer bristo .. haha!! I’m coming back for more .

Dianna was the very best. She made sure we were well taken care of. She was friendly and she made us feel like we were having dinner at home. She did not only provide food services but alcohol as well. We love you Dianna. Thank you.

Dined today at Yellow hammer for the first time absolutely loved it! 10/10 will try again! The staff were so helpful and polite. They answered every question we had since we had not dined before. The fried chicken and cornbread dressing were so delicious! Check them out!!

I would definitely recommend Yellowhammer Bistro. Very pleasant atmosphere and staff. Family owned and ran. Delicious food speaks for itself. My new favorite eatery. Will be coming back.

Oh the audacity. This place was incredible but they had no business making that meatloaf taste so good. The gall to make that corn crisp AND creamy, those mashed potatoes whipped to perfection. They even made the cornbread muffin moist and the sweet tea like some proper Alabama sweet tea. They were out of most of the desserts but it's probably because they were as good as the peach cobbler I got. It was all perfect and the portions were generous. With all my food dessert and tip it came out to about $20 and was worth every penny.

Went for the first time this week (Thursday). Got fried chicken, fried fish, rice and gravy and okra. I was pleasantly surprised by the really nice space!! It had a full bar and great staff. I got the order to go but because the food was made fresh, I had a chance to sit a while. Nice vibe!!

Everything was cooked to perfection. I could taste the flavors of a home cooked meal in every bite once I got home. Everyone in the family enjoyed the food.... So much so we went back the very next day!!! Day two might have even been better than day one. Lol. We plan on checking out the Sunday Dinner today!! I found a new GO TO SPOT ..

Nice Place hidden in Billingsley! Resturant has a 96 health Code rating, very clean establishment. I had a 3 wing/2 sides dinner about $15 after tax. Mac and cheese and candied yams are always fresh.

First time here and got the wings! Super tasty food and the fried pickles are to die forrr! A DJ was playing good music and the drink I had was great. Will definitely be back!

Today was my family 1st time and we will definitely be back again. We enjoyed the meat and three choice.

Review from out of town, came on a trip from Jacksonville Florida, stopped here for quick bit and it was amazing!! Great food great service!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

I was actually really impressed by the meal I had- Pulled pork, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, and banana pudding were all delicious! They accomodated a large party (10) and everyone was happy with their meals. The BBQ sauce must be a honey mustard style and it's great. Tried the fried okra, sweet potatoes, and corn nuggets and it seemed like anything you order will be fantastic. Only downside is that food takes a little while during rush hours but it's worth it.

The best sweet tea I have had since moving to Montgomery. The staff is sweet and you can tell that they are doing it for the right reasons, to make people happy with the food and the service!

Meat and 3 done right. Enormous portions of deliciously seasoned and cooked to perfection southern food. Amazing Pork Tenderloin, Fried Chicken, and a slew of other meat options on a rotating menu. Acre Peas are a MUST order item. Sweet fluffy moist cornbread. Plenty of breakfast and lunch menu items as well.
Fast friendly table service and a quick meal.

I was very pleased with the professionalism of the staff and the food was awesome. I also had an opportunity to meet the owner and he’s just as nice. If you haven’t tried it, you’re missing out on great Southern food!!!

Yesterday, I ordered a 12-piece chicken dinner with 2 sides from Yellowhammer Bistro. They told me that they don't normally sell their chicken like this but they went out of their way to accommodate me. That was the best-fried chicken that I have ever eaten. It was freshly cooked to order, crispy, and seasoned perfectly. The sides (mashed potatoes, gravy, and fried okra) were also delicious. I also got some of their in-house cupcakes a mixture of red velvet, key lime, and strawberry they were Awesome! The staff went over and beyond and were the best. That fried chicken is outstanding!!!!! The price can't be beaten either for what you get. Yellowhammer Bistro is #1, I absolutely love this place! They are the chicken haven LOL.

Great atmospheric for Adult DJ was great. Drinks were good and the food was amazing.
