I was down on trip with my daughter already pd 325 at another ar&b rental, that host kept us on runaround. I showed up here in middle or night the owners help me and my kids into a loft, help make out sofa bed and all and only charge us a low min rate. They were a real blessing and accomadated us within 5min. Real good people. Real nice family place. Highly recommend...

Jim and Alex are some of the nicest people you'll ever meet. They welcome strangers into their home with open arms and treat you like a member of their family. Lots of extras are provided at no extra cost to their guests and Alex cooks a gourmet breakfast every morning. My family and I will definitely be going back for another Smith Lake adventure. Can't wait!

I had a great visit and will be returning while looking for property on the Lake, Jim and Alex are great hosts and take care of you like family staying in their home. I stayed in the Airstream and had a blast, a definite 1 off experience. Great property if you have a large family as they have lots of options to accommodate a good amount of guests.

Thanks Jim and Alex for all your hospitality during my visit!

Peaceful & serene. Great lil getaway at a semi -secluded location with a great view.

The beautiful scenery, lake and B&B reviews is what drew my interest and then I saw where you could book your reservation in an old Airstream camper with a patio built on. Well, that is what made my mind up about booking two nights. Had all the comforts needed, and even an outdoor shower to boot!

It was a girls only /best friend kinda weekend and we were ready for a break.
Took a few days off work, drove up to Smith Lake thru the scenic back roads of Alabama. Time away was exactly what was needed after the pandemic forced us into social distancing, working from home and spending more days around the house.
The B & B itself was a sweet dream! The dock and floats along with being able to sit and watch the sunset was a real treat. Water was cool, clear and felt great after being in the sun for a bit.

Alex and Jim were wonderful hosts, had the camper loaded with just what was needed for a relaxing time. All the utensils were inside for grilling, a Keurig for morning coffee and even a few light snacks.

They definitely have a beautiful home place on the hill with several decks to see the sunrise or sunset. It is a lil piece of heaven right here in one place.
I do look forward to returning soon!

We stayed at in one of the incredible Airstream accommodations at the Smith Lake Bed and Breakfast. We had everything we needed to enjoy a beautiful weekend at the lake, and the owners were very flexible with our late arrival due to car problems on the way into town. We enjoyed an afternoon on the swim pier and were able to dock our boat rental overnight without extra charge. The peaceful quiet is exactly what we needed, and we can’t wait to return!

Loved our stay at Smith Lake B&B!!! Jim and Alex, the owners, couldn't have been nicer. The whole place was beautiful and well maintained. We stayed in a classic Airstream camper they have converted into logding there at the B&B and it was a lot of fun to "glamp" for the weekend. The water's edge, dock and amenities were wonderful. We will definitely come back!

Amazing house on the lake with paddle boards, fire pits, a lovely deck and great hosts. You will love it here - it was the highlight of my trip. Also very close to nearby waterfalls you can hike to.

STAY HERE!! A truly amazing couple, (husband & wife), own, operate, and live on property. They are experienced, sweet, kind-hearted, wonderful cooks, and make you feel like you're a long loved family member!! You're never bothered by anyone!! You'll probably meet some cool people, too. (Even if you're shy, as both me & my husband are.) Our stay was so much more than we expected it to be! It was peaceful, relaxing, WONDERFUL BREAKFAST, great people, beautiful well-kept lake-front property, etc.. YES, we will be going for another stay!!

This is our second visit to Smith Lake and we love it here. The Cox's are the best innkeepers. Easy going and crazy good breakfast. The accommodations make you wish you never had to leave. Everything is spot on from the so soft sheets to the inviting hot tub. Perfect place for the night or longer.

One of, if not the best places to vacation during the summer. The couple in charge is super accommodating. The rooms are are very well furnished, the dock area is well kept and the water's are great!

Word of warning to not jump off the second story of their dock. It's fun but can be painful

Gorgeous views, kayaks, fishing(they provide both rods and bait), a delicious and detectable breakfast (you've never had a good breakfast till you taste her pie) a clean, hot! Hot tub, clean bathrooms with all soap provided, nice furniture and decor both within the house and on the patios, towels are provided as well. They offer kayaking, paddle boarding, jetskiing, water skiiing, and even pontoon boat rides during the summer. All the beds (even the couch pull outs) are comfortable and made with some of the softest sheets I've ever slept in. You can bring your family or just yourself and your other and be comfortably seen to depending on the room chosen. The old couple who run it are kind folk and provide amazing customer service.

Wonderful experience! This was our first stay at a B&B and we were a little concerned, since we have 3 children. It was far better than any hotel and the owners were great with our kids. We will definitely be back!

My fiancé and I went there recently for a Valentine’s weekend getaway. We could not have picked a better place. The owners are beyond kind. Words cannot describe their hospitality. It was so peaceful and relaxing with a gorgeous view. There’s so much to do there. We went right after a cold front passed through, so we didn’t get to experience the lake. We went to Cullman to see Ave Maria Grotto, Clarkson Covered Bridge, and Highway Pickers Antique Mall and Flea Market on Sunday. We went to Rickwood Caverns to look at a cave and walk on Fossil Trail on Monday. We had meals at Carlton’s Italian and Chipotle along with ice cream at La Michoacanita. There’s so many restaurant choices in Cullman. It was only 30 minutes to Cullman and 50 minutes to the caverns from the cozy Bed and Breakfast. We can’t wait to go back. We plan to schedule another getaway and bring some friends for lake activities. I’ve traveled a lot over the years. This was by far the best when it comes to places to stay. Highly recommended for families, couples, friends, coworkers, and even solo time. Don’t just take my word for it. Take a look at more reviews. They exceeded all my expectations.
