My wife and I went here to have breakfast. Since we came about 45 minutes before the end of the breakfast serving time, there were only three tables of people being served probably because of Covid-19, the time of year and/or the time of day. Nevertheless, our service, the restaurant decor, and above all the food was outstanding! I overwhelming recommend this restaurant. We each ordered omelets. They filled more than half the plate but they were also higher than the fork prongs off the bottom of the plate. The chunks of potato home fries were large as well and filled the rest of the plate.
We had tomato, green pepper, onion, cheese (lots of cheese) and three eggs and perhaps more in our omelets. They were the best omelets we both can remember eating. And we have eaten omelets all our lives at many restaurants and homes. We both come from farm backgrounds so this is coming from well-versed experience. The omelets were amazing. We thoroughly enjoyed the meal as we savored the food and our coffee. But let me add, I also had two slices of gluten-free toast and my wife enjoyed two very large, thick slices of multi-grain toast. We were not rushed and our visit was a rich experience. Again, I highly recommend eating here.

Had late lunch. Nice friendly waitress. Nice selection. Side salad was awesome. Black and blue prime sandwich was verrrry good, could have cut off some of the fat. But great. Ice cream is excellent. I recommend this highly.

Stopped for Breakfast. Many great-sounding choices. Very reasonable prices. Beautiful place, beautiful morning so we sat outside. All four of us were happy with our selections. Quick and attentive service. Next time we're in the area we want to stop and try more items on the breakfast menu.

This place was great! Very friendly waitresses, good food, though the menu was a bit small, the choices were varied. We came here for lunch. Cute place as well. Great place to stop.

I always heard this place wasn't great I had to try for myself. The Breakfast was unreal. I've always been a portions guy, service and quality are up there too. This place had it all. I can't wait to get back there

The Gingerbread House is beautiful, but still retains the comfort of the place my grandparents brought me for dessert 30 or so years ago. Reservations are preferred and the outstanding wait service has your table prepared with ice water and menus when you arrive. The dinners are fancy and pricey, and arrive with the presentation you'd expect for this tier of value. The basket of dinner rolls were disappointing. They were dry and tough, and had a bitter ground wheat taste. The table next to us received different rolls which looked more appealing. The Hunters' Medallions were spectacular and well cooked. However, I found them to be a bit bland, saved by the delicious caramelized onions. The small redskin potatoes missed the spice rack as well. The meatloaf was a hit at the table, but kind of looked like a pile of moose scat. The lobster mac and cheese looked amazing in the cast iron skillet. The kids thought it was the best thing they had ever eaten for the first few bites, but the dish ended up being one of those where it was just too rich to finish and changed their opinions. The salmon was flavorful, but overcooked. I wish we would have come back to try the desserts that left such a fond memory with me. They looked delicious.

The breakfast was fantastic! The western Maine omelette was delicious and the roasted potatoes were great. The decor featured local artists. Definitely will be back.

Great food, great service! As a local, I would highly recommend this spot for anyone visiting or living in the area. Brittani is always a pleasure and Jerome makes an amazing breakfast burrito!

We had an amazing breakfast! From our drinks (assorted hot teas, delicious hot cocoa and coffee), to our pre-entree treat, homemade cinnamon roll, warmed with yummy icing! Our breakfast selections were diverse: Ouossoc French toast (fantastic!), Gingerbread House egg sandwich, home made corned beef and eggs and make your own omelet- everything was AMAZING! We all especially liked the fresh berries with our meals but especially we LOVED the homefries, so very delicious! We will be back for breakfast!

Rustic yet elegant atmosphere. Try their awesome breakfast or stop in late at the ice-cream counter for a generous serving of old fashioned flavors or a piece of homemade gingerbread.
