My friends and I, during a business trip, took a cruise on the lake with Kevin in his custom-made wooden boat. It's new but has a beautiful old school vibe to it. As a photographer, I really appreciated Kevin's boat being able to get close to loons on the lake so we could get great shots but without disturbing the loons. (I wished I'd had my longer lens with me but only had the 24-70 and still managed to get a shot.) He shut off the engine and just floated and it was spectacular to see such beautiful birds up close. The boat is comfortable and fun to be on while out on the lake. I was impressed by Kevin's knowledge of the lake, the surrounding area, the history of the region and his familiarity with the residents on the lake. For instance, I didn't know LL Bean had a camp on the lake till Kevin told us! Really enjoyable experience overall, for any travelers who don't mind group activities with other travelers they don't know. I would also recommend a private charter with Kevin and his boat if you have a group you're traveling with!

My family reserved a 3rd of July sunset cruise and fireworks show on the Rangely lake. They were very accommodating for our large family. We thoroughly enjoyed the cruise, learning about glacier formations for the lake and the loons that inhabit the area. We were able to spot 2 bald eagles on an island in the lake. our captain, Rhianna, is the daughter of the cruise and boat business, and she shared her immense knowledge of the area and boating, as well as her military service experience. She was a joy to have as a captain. Our fellow companions were also wonderful talk with. The Rangely fireworks were outstanding! There were continuous fireworks, and some fun "Easter eggs" of smiley face emoji type images that tickled our children. The finale was a barrage of constant fireworks that was a complete joy. I told my husband that we need to book this cruise every year until we move here.

My family and I went on the sunset cruise and it was absolutely breathtaking! From the second I talked to Doreen, who helped book the reservation, to the second we arrived to the newly updated Oquossoc Lady ll, we knew this cruise was going to be fun and family friendly. Kevin, who is the owner and captain of the boat, was extremely knowledgeable about Rangeley Lake and the animals that inhabit the area. He made the cruise very pleasant and enjoyable! I would definitely recommend this lake cruise to anyone. My family kept saying how fun it was and how they can’t wait to do it again!

This is a gorgeous lake set in between beautiful mountains. Could not ask for a better backdrop for a nice leisurely cruise.

Not only was the cruise awesome, our guide was very knowledgeable, informative, and entertaining. It was like a combination lake cruise and wildlife spotting trip. PLUS we did the sunset and moonrise cruise when we got to see both events within an hour or so from each other.

Would not ever go back without taking this cruise again, it’s a great value for the money ...

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed a Sunset Cruise aboard the Oquossoc Lady, a beautiful vintage wooden vessel. The mariner was very knowledgeable about the wildlife in the surrounding area - we even managed to see Eagles, Loons & fish feeding on the water's surface. He was also great with kids! I would highly recommend this cruise for a relaxing trip around Rangeley Lake.

In addition to a week of great fishing, the Sunset Cruise was the highlight of the week. Fun, informative and a memory-making experience for the whole family. Don’t miss it!

The directions/location led us to a private house. We checked and learned they closed their business more than a year ago. The man we asked said they did good business, and their tours were great. Only giving a low rating as a way to share with others that this no longer exists. We think it would be great if this were offered in Rangeley.
