I don't always drive past this place on my work route but I sure am glad when I do they offer things that most convenience stores don't it's more than just the store it's the destination it's one of those places that some mile marker for you when traveling up north I wish they were open year-round old school Americana

Love these little local spots. It's like finding treasure lol. Currently there is no cooked food because of staffing shortages. Totally understandable. But there are some very yummy homemade sweets and treats. So worth the stop. The owner and staff are super friendly as well.

I have been stopping in for their home made pastries and strudel since 1981.
Simply the best I have ever had! The coffee is great too.
Very friendly staff, nice and clean. Highly recommended.

I have not tried the food here, but the strudel and pies and cakes are amazing. Good party store with fishing and rafting supplies if you need them in a pinch. All around good place to stop.

There were ten of us and they were busy! However, the owner met us at the door and led us to our table! We were served within 5 minutes and the food arrived within 10 minutes despite being busy! The owner even bought each of us an adult beverage. It was Tim's birthday so they had a special cake for him, complete with a candle, ice cream, and a cold beer! We will be back! Don't drive thru Wellston without lunch or dinner at the Big K!

amazing ice cream and pastries, over all nice air. 10000000000000000000000 out of 1 over all would recommend going there. there is grass outside so yeah its good.

Hello! This small store and restaurant is a true gem. Family owned by the greatest people you could ever want to meet too. You will not be disappointed for stopping in!

I love Kestelwoods! My friends and I stop here every year on our way to Traverse City. The service is excellent and the breakfast is delicious!
