We ate Thanksgiving Buffet at Hometown Family Restaurant. We had Reservations from 10:30-11:30am. $18 per person. It was worth it. Great food, great service, friendly staff.... I would return to eat here again if I was eating out in St James ever again. Maybe next year Thanksgiving Day. Reservations needed on holidays. You can order take out too.

This place has some of the best hometown food you can imagine. I love it. I'm from Colorado and I'll be back.

Our waitress maria (I think that was her name) was very kind. (If anyone knows her @ on anything please tell me Im trying to set her up with my brother)

Stopped in passing through town. Came in 20 minutes before close and they had a buffet special. Food was incredible and fresh, ice cream was great, and service was awesome! Worth stopping in!

I went here with friends last year, and had never heard a hot beef sandwich called a "commercial." It was one of the best things I've ever had at a restaurant!! I got the half order, and can't imagine getting a full order - the half was very generous, and so, so good!!

Husband had cottage cheese & club sandwich on wheat bread. I had a chicken salad sandwich on wheat, hash browns, & fresh strawberry pie. Nice to be able to order sandwich only & add sides. Home style cafe...huge selection!!!

Food was great! Friendly staff, clean good prices. My dad loves this place and I had never been there, so took him out for lunch and it did not disappoint!

I have visited 4 times so far, and each time has been a treat. I have tried both dinner and breakfast meals and both have been delicious. The service has been perfect and the prices are extremely reasonable. I marked the $10-$20 range because hubby is a big eater, but you can easily get a filling meal for $10 or under. We moved to the area from the big cities recently and we think we've found our go-to place!

The food was great, and the staff was very friendly and attentive. Best value for the dollar we have seen in a long time! This is a great place to eat - we were just passing through town, but would definitely go again if we are ever in town again in the future!

we decided to stop for supper the way home and we are so glad we did. the best food ever. the four of us had a burger, chef salad, skillet breakfast, country breakfast. the meals were all GREAT. great service. even a bit of a history lesson from our waitress ABBY. Who works everyday and makes a mean malt. Abby a new graduate was very good at her job and even suggested we get a fresh made every morning piece of pie to take home. we took her up on it and after not sorry we did the sour cream is out of this world. we may live 60 miles away but we will be back.

Excellent food, excellent service, and for a small town, great pricing. Never had a bad meal.

What you would expect from a small town café. Cozy, friendly, good food, fair prices. Will definitely be a return patron.

A good selection of food at reasonable prices. They even serve a variety of homemade pies. The beef commercials and malts are delicious.
