Carol is delightful! She immediately greeted me what a smile & shared all her Gluten Free specialties.
My Dad had the Bacon quiche with coffee & I had the vegetable quiche with a hot apple spiced cider with a cinnamon stick. I hadn’t had a hot cider in years so this was such a treat!
I also got a peppermint mocha on the way out with a couple slices of coconut cake.
My sister recommended this place & especially the GF coconut cake.
I had a bite of the coconut cake & it brought me back to my childhood when this was one of my favorite desserts!
I highly recommend you stop in to see Carol & the wall of all her & her daughter’s art!
It’s a homey feel with lots of love!

My husband and I stopped into Carol’s as we were leaving Ithaca and we’re so glad we did! The cafe atmosphere is right out of a movie - warm, cozy, twinkling lights, tall windows, plants, art, live folk music in the background that’s just the right volume, handmade ceramics for sale, delicious lattes and sandwiches, and more decadent baked goods than you could choose from.
The staff was so kind and you can tell they pour their heart into each plate and cup they prepare. We live nearly 2 hours away in PA, but are already planning to come back for Owego for this sweet cafe alone.

Beautiful coffe/food place. You'll find many food options local artsy stuff, live music and a quite ambient atmosphere. Lattes are great, so are the pumpkin pie and the local specialties. Recommended!

Terrific place for a lunch date with my wife! Food is excellent, great variety of sandwiches, salads, and wonderful homemade soups! Someone playing and singing softly in the background! Staff is very friendly! Decor is rustic with paintings actually done by Carol herself who is very talented! They also sell baked goods done in house which are excellent! Wonderful place to eat and relax! One of our very favorites!

The best coffee place in town ❤ amazing, warm, and inspiring atmosphere surrounded by Carol's beautiful art. Get a bagel, they're better than anything I've had in NYC ❤ you can tell everything is homemade with love. The whole staff is really kind and Carol herself greeted us, helped us out, and talked with us about her art. An amazing stop. The coffee is delicious and strong too. Thanks for an amazing brunch! Love, Amanda and Thomas!

They also always had someone jamming in the corner, live music really helped bring together all the elements of art in this one spot. A coffee shop and an art gallery in one. I could spend hours there just looking.

Carol’s space Is an incredible and precious jewel. We stopped “by chance” (felt more like divine intervention) on our drive home to Virginia from upstate NY. I was surprised and delighted to receive THE BEST soy latte ever. So smooth and delicious. We were in a hurry so I actually teared up when I had to quickly run off. I would have loved to spend HOURS with Carol’s creations. Or just to sit and absorb the sweet and creative vibes. This small but powerful space speaks volumes about Carol and her heart. I wish I’d had more time to steep my soul in this special (sacred!) space. Thank you, Carol and team. 💞🙏💞

I’m so thankful to be working at Carol's Coffee & Art Bar a couple days a week. As this is one of my retirement gigs it really isn’t work. Every day there is a real pleasure .

I’ve observed that we get customers from all over — from NYC and NJ heading west or north, from places north and west heading to NYC. Many from my town (Montrose PA) meet here with friends from the Finger Lakes region — a middle point.

We get international customers too. In my time here we’ve had folks from Australia, England, Africa, Canada, Italy, Switzerland . . . and more.

Common thread from my interactions (I talk a lot)? This place is so different — warm, inviting, relaxing. And staff — especially Dave and Carol Livermore — are so friendly.

To me coming here is like working with family. And that’s what our customers feel — like eating in mom’s kitchen.

Carol recently won an award for Best Small Business owner. It is very well deserved. This lovely lady and husband work very hard but never let it show.

So y’all come on over and relax in a calm environment, listen to live music, enjoy some coffee, a sandwich, soup, and sweet treat. If I’m there flag me down and we’ll talk.

Oh yeah — it’s all made here. Hope to see you!

I love this place! Friendly service by the owners, awesome food, and a cozy atmosphere. Carol's artwork is beautifully displayed on the walls, and they have soft, live music playing by Greg Neff.

UPDATE: 10/13/21 - STILL OUTSTANDING!!!

What a wonderful, peaceful, enjoyable, artistic environment! Great coffee, great staff, talented artists displayed. (Carol is an outstanding artist herself.) The feeling is one of sitting in the living room of a good friend. WOW!

This place is fantastic. The live music creates such a great environment. My partner and I each got half a sandwich and a bowl of soup. All the items were DELICIOUS. Food was fresh and came out quickly. I couldn't leave without some baked goods, the strawberry half moon cookie and vanilla biscotti was out of this world. I can't wait to go back next week and try more!

Also the staff was so warm and friendly. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. 10/10 reccomend!

We're newish to the area and stopped in to check it out. What a cool, vibrant space. Carol's art is just gorgeous and it feels cozy, artsy, and homey. You can tell that love built this place. Being new to the area it was nice to feel welcomed as everyone seemed kind.

Even though we had never been here, I had seen such positive reviews and decided why not, I'll get a fruit pie here for my birthday. I requested a peach pie and all I can say is: wow! Buttery, flaky crust, packed with fresh peaches in a delectable filling, and a generously-sized pie at what I think was a fair price. It made my birthday special (and the next several days, too, since we had a lot left!). While there, my son also got a slice of chocolate cake and I got a coconut dream bar. The cake was what you think of when you think of what a cake should be: stacked, full of chocolate flavor, lots of homemade icing. The coconut dream bar had a rich, buttery coconut flavor with a hint of chocolate and was nice and dense.

We will definitely be returning here for treats, pie, coffee/tea and probably some live music, too. Definitely a must-stop for anyone in the area.

Oh my gosh. If I lived closer to Owego I guarantee I would spend a lot of time in Carol's. I was impressed by the 20+ available flavors for different coffees, as well as the beautiful artwork hanging on the walls. Seems like there is plenty of seating, and the cozy little corner with the couches was my favorite. Such a relaxed and fun little place! Carol is such a sweet lady. You will not regret stopping in.

What a nice Café!

Carol is so sweet and hospitable, what a great first experience. I had the cold brew with oatmilk and a cornbread square - both were amazing and hit the spot just right.

The space is cozy, yet spacious with gorgeous paintings everywhere. We'll have to come back soon for the full dine-in experience! 10/10 ☕
