Went here for my birthday. Absolutely delicious food and great friendly service. I ordered the sangria and the wild mushroom pasta. Sangria was probably the best I’ve had. The wild mushroom pasta was very creamy and what felt like a warm gooey grilled cheese that I crave. Their bread was tasty and can’t wait to come back to try more of their baked goods. My partner got the jambalaya, which was the perfect amount of spice. It can be a little noisy when it’s packed.

As usual, Broken Rocks delivered on all aspects! We stopped in for drinks and dessert. Rachel was attentive and friendly.
The Bourbon Bread Pudding was a favorite (an easy 5 Stars) the Tiramisu was good (4 Stars) but have had better.
The Pomegranate Gimlet was amazing. The perfect concoction of juniper, fruit, and citrus!

I wish I could refrain from ordering the wild mushroom pasta and try other delicious selections more often, but it’s a challenge! Crab cakes are tasty. Jambalaya delicious, but definitely has some kick, so spice senstives take note. Marinated flank is always tender. Always a good experience. Desserts are delicious, but the Belgian Chocolate custard is in my top 3 of my life time best dessert with the other 2 not even in Ohio (& one not even in this country!!) Homemade sangria was really good. The atmosphere can be a little loud when full, but that’s the charm of a vintage building. Excellent bread!

Couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Beautiful ambiance with friendly staff. The table is cute and just the right size.

Starter bread taste home baked and some virgin olive oil. Had the braised short rib and Cajun pasta.

The short ribs was falling off the bone and juicy.
Cajun pasta has lot of flavor and maybe on the spicy side ( as it should? )

Can get a bit busy in the evenings and the open room design means it can get loud

Pretty good spot. The food is fresh and didn't disappoint. Our waitress was a bit type A for us (continually reorganizing our table while we were eating), but otherwise it was a nice place to grab lunch.

The acoustics of this place is horrible. There, that's the bad part. Everything else is exceptional. Great food, great staff, wonderful ambience. The house-made sour dough bread is out of this world. You'll be served a complimentary sample of that, along with oil dip, when you are seated. If you are new to Wooster, this is a must.

Update: We have ordered takeout, due to the covid pandemic. I got the flank steak and the Belgium Chocolate for dessert. Both of them amazing. Flawless service, outstanding food. Get the Belgium Chocolate. Just get it. You won't be sorry.

Update: Had one of our first dine-in experiences since the pandemic started. We arrived around four pm on a Friday. I think we were the only diners there. Very attentive and friendly hostess and waitress. I had the Wild Mushroom Pasta. It was good, but I thought the sauce was a little thin and it was too salty for my taste. Also had a very tasty Greek Salad. The bread and dip was great also.

Been here once before and loved it. Brought my wife to try it. She had the ham sandwich and potato salad, and I had the pepperoni pizza. She loved everything she had and the pizza was absolutely delicious. Our server was an absolute pleasure to have. Will definitely be back when in Wooster.

Wonderful cafe with excellent choices for food. I had an amazing drink, and shared that with a wonderful tasting pizza. The waiter was very friendly and helpful, making sure to get everything that I needed to enjoy my meal. The location is very comfortable and relaxing. This seems like it would be a wonderful place to share lunch during the daytime. I would highly recommend this location to anyone that loves good food and a great atmosphere!

We were there last week for a birthday dinner and they didn’t disappoint. I had the Cajun Chicken Pasta and my wife had the Blackened Tuna Salad. Both were spot on as always. I also had the soup of the day, wild mushroom and asparagus. It was interesting but good.. Maybe a bit too much cornstarch in it.

5/5 every time we been there.

We had a special 50th Anniversary celebration in the "Rock's" Room Upstairs". Warm Atmosphere and the service was really good.

Not expecting to see "Mac 'n Cheese" on a Dinner Menu, I just had to try it...and your mother NEVER made any Mac 'n Cheese like this stuff. Amazing (I had the Brisket version - a Shrimp version was also available).

Great Wine and Craft Beer selections. Their unique "Artisan" Fire Oven Pizza's were also wonderful.

Hark! Let me regale thee of a maiden fair,
Nae, my waitress, whose service beyond compare,
In the quaint tavern, where feasts delight the soul,
Her grace and kindness made our evening whole.

With countenance bright as yon morning sun,
She guided us, her duties deftly done,
And lo! Her recommendation, a gem so divine,
The hummus appetizer, a taste so fine.

Like ambrosia, from Olympus it did hail,
Her wisdom, like a guide upon the trail,
With humble heart, I grant her stars five,
For Nae, my waitress, made our evening thrive.

my boyfriend and I were looking for a new place to try and found this through Yelp. Atmosphere is nice, besides where we sat; the lighting was strange so we casted shadows on our meals. The food was very good and came out pretty quickly. We shared a beet salad, highly recommend. Also had mushroom pizza and Cajun pasta, both were very good. We also stayed for dessert and it was amazing, I would come back just for the desserts any day. Great new place for us, and not too expensive for 2 people.

All their food is delicious. I had a burger with blue cheese and bacon and tasty (baked) potato wedges. We've had breakfasts there, salads - it is all very good and I recommend everything!

Kara was our waitress, she was sweet and attentive. I loved the atmosphere and the chicken marsala was good. But the raspberry creme brulee was excellent!!!!

Nice little place downtown Wooster with nice decor and a pleasant environment. Diane had the barbecue chicken pizza. The dough is infused with some of their sourdough bread and is very good. It's not too thick not too thin. A little bit more done in the center for a slightly crispier crust woud be nice but otherwise very good. I had the fish sandwich that comes on their focaccia bread with cheddar cheese and an aioli caper dressing. The bread was light and airy and the fish was cooked perfectly. We thoroughly enjoyed both entrees. They also served us some bread and oil to start with to try a couple different kinds of bread which was a nice touch. Our server Micheal was very helpful and attentive and made for a pleasant lunch. They also serve breakfast which is supposed to be very good so maybe we can try that next trip. Overall we were very happy and recommend Broken Rock's.
