Camped here on a Friday night, the camp was peaceful. We walked to the lake and enjoyed a beautiful sunset. The picnic tables were covered with side walls to help as a wind break. The bathrooms were clean, and the shower area was a nice size. All the employees we came in contact with were friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend it.

Super peaceful & a very clean camping 🏕 area with restrooms that has showers. The camping areas are dog friendly for the most part I know when reserving our site some spots didn't have the dog option so make sure to select 1 that allows dogs if your wanting to take a dog & as long as it's on a leash at all times you will be fine. Loved that there was an option for sites with electric & water which is always great to have!

Nice campground. The ranger tried to extort us to purchase a $1,000,000 insurance policy for like a hundred and something dollars, which has never happened in all the State Parks I've ever camped in. The insurance company was closed so he said he'd accept cash. I guess he let us slide since we weren't carrying any cash. "Arms up! Give me all your money!!" lol. We don't have any, sorry. Swimming was awesome, the kids had a blast. Beautiful sunsets, just watch out for snakes.
It's just strange to me how statists believe they own the land and are entitled to your earnings whenever they demand it. Other than that very weird incident, 5 stars all the way.

Santa Rosa lake state park located 100 miles from Albuquerque, USA. From Santa Rosa camping site the trial is about 1.25 miles. To get it into water you have to travel around 2 miles by car. There is a proper road to drive your car. The lake is quite huge. The private boats are seen in the water. Overall a good place. Very near to the lake, there is a camping facilities. You can spend even nights

This place is a Great place to go,to beat the summer heat!!! It has things to do for the Young and the Young at heart 😊. I went with some of my family and we had Fun All Day. They have a Lake Park obstacle course. They have an awesome water slide/swimming area. They also have paddle boats/paddle boards, also food trucks. I saw a lot of people enjoying shaved ice. I would recommend this place to everyone.!!! It was only an hour and 45min. From Albuquerque. We also enjoyed the Blue Hole, which you can dive into off of the rocks!!!😊. I heard the water was Refreshing. I personally don't swim, ( without a Life jacket) but everyone had a BLAST 😂. ENJOY 😊. We did!!!!

Much more than we expected. Incredible views. Nice hiking trails. Big RV lots. Clean rest rooms. Xfinity cell only had one bar but it worked. No TV reception at all. Wifi if you can get connected.

Santa Rosa Lake & Bue Hole is a Fun Family orientated place to go.
Beautiful View all around you.
There is Swimming, Fishing, Camping with Electrical Outlets, & Boating. There are plenty of Hotels if your not one for Camping
You can accomplish a few attractions at once when you visit. The Water Park is next to Blue Hole, so you’ll have various swimming spots to check out during your visit. If you’re looking for a waterpark destination for kids, this place provides the perfect place to go.

Hot dang! Beautiful campground with solid facilities. We stayed at an electric campsite. The bathrooms and showers were great. Clean and warm with hot water. Lots of trails to explore as well. Saw a number of deer as well. You could set up for multiple nights and be content. For sure worth checking out.

What a pleasant surprise this stop was, a fraction of the cost in Santa Rosa and it was only about 10-15 mins on the outskirts of the town. Great views clean park lots to see and numerous trails.
We just stopped for an overnight but it’s worth a few more days to explore.

Really nice place (spring time) not hot, not crowded, and quiet -n- clean.
There's some old country dirt roads and abandoned ranch structures off to the east, the primitive camping area .... worth a stop. I stayed a week, and at one time had the whole place to myself for 2 days.

Love going out here. The water level is low so not ideal for boats. However, kayaks and canoes appear to do just fine. I love walking the trails and along the shore. Take my baby boy (doggie) to play and run off some energy. He loves it more than I do. The staff keep everything clean and looking nice. Nice place to go fishing too.

We didn’t get to experience much of the lake because we were just camping overnight on our way home from the Grand Canyon, but we were impressed by what we did see.

It looked like there were some adventurous hikes, and while the water was low, I heard from other campers that it was great for kayaking!

The sunrise was beautiful, even if we woke up a few minutes late - still got some great pictures.

The area was quiet and mostly empty, but that was probably because it wasn’t a weekend.

Great place for primitive camping. Beautiful sunrise over the lake. The primitive camping is farther away from the water, separated from the hookup sites. I just needed a scenic spot to wake up to during a road trip so this spot was perfect. Water level looked a little low, like most of the southwest.

Stopped at this state park for a rest on a long trip back East. Great views and place to stretch my legs. Exploring and climbing through rocks on the upper scenic trail was an added bonus ☺

The cleanest bathrooms I've ever seen at a campground. The camp host is a wonderful person. This is a great place to stay. Has electric and water sites at Rocky Point, very reasonable prices. I would definitely stay here again.

Absolutely beautiful place to stop. You can hike down to the lake and there are multiple other hikes as well. Very quiet place and it's easy to relax. We got a site with electric access and it was right by the bathrooms and shower though we didn't use the showers. I would recommend this state park for anyone going through or if you have the time, to stay the night.

Gorgeous park! RV & tent sites available. Fabulous sunsets and ability to see the Milky Way. There are toilets, showers, hiking and nature trails, and an overlook. Built and maintained by the US Army Corps of Engineers.

The lake was low, but we went to fly kites. I was perfectly windy to do so.
