We absolutely LOVED Chris and the campground. He was very kind, to the point, and treated us with honor and respect.
We enjoyed the cleanliness of the campground, and the bathrooms were spotless.
This campground is a nice little spot off of I-40. We would stay again. We had food delivered to our camper from the restaurant and the food was amazing.

This review is long overdue. We were on a road trip and our truck broke down about 15 miles outside Santa Rosa. We ended up staying at the campground for 4 days. Thanks to Chris and all of his help we were able to repair our truck and get on our way! The campground was clean and the BBQ was excellent! Santa Rosa is a little gem in the middle of nowhere!!!!

We absolutely LOVED Chris and the campground. He was very kind, to the point, and treated us with honor and respect.
We enjoyed the cleanliness of the campground, the tidiness of the dog area, and the bathrooms were spotless.
This campground is a nice little spot off of I-40. We would stay again and recommend to others.
I love and appreciate his "no-nonsense" attitude and his dedication to the cleanliness of the grounds.

We booked a spot here on our trip from Arizona to Oklahoma, for an overnight stay. They deliver from their restaurant to your campsite. Literally it’s the best to have that kind of service after driving all day! The food is great, and it’s a lot of bbq for your money! Definitely suggest if your passing through. It’s right off the hi way too!

This was a great rv park for an overnight stay in Santa Rosa. Huge pull through spaces, clean restrooms and hot showers were all 5 star. It’s peaceful and quiet, only an occasional train whistle which I love hearing anyway. This is the quietest place we have stayed in Santa Rosa. We felt perfectly safe in this park! I’ll never stay in the McDonald’s truck parking lot again! I think a summer trip here to the Blue Hole is on the agenda.

We loved our stay here. The food from the restaurant was amazing. After traveling all day, it was great to call up and have the food brought to the camper. We had the ribs, pulled pork, shrimp, and chicken. With all the sides. Everything was great. I should also let you know that the bathhouse was clean and the shower was great.

They don't have rooms. They have spaces for our RV's. But it looks like all of the spaces are pull-through, which is wonderful for those of us who hate backing up.
It is only water and electric, but they have a dump station for those who need that. It's not too expensive either.
The bathroom was very clean, and the water was hot. I will use the shower soon because it is clean and easier than hassling with the stuff in my trailer.
They have food that you can order, and it is delivered right to your RV! That's pretty cool. Mine was piping hot and very delicious!
They have a fenced-in dog park too for those who need that.
All in all, I am very glad I decided to stop here in Santa Rosa NM and this RV park.

Place is perfect for those of us who enjoy stopping & enjoying our time while RVing. Great hosts here & wonderful delivery of chicken fried steaks!
They do a really decent job of caring for their customers & ensuring that those occasional not so nice customers are put in their place.

This is a quiet campground with easy pull thru spots that are decent sized. We didn’t use any amenities but everything is here including a small store with souvenirs etc. We would definitely be back when we stop through Santa Rosa again. They also have a BBQ restaurant that will deliver to your site. We came in a bit too late for that, maybe next time.

Had a nice stopover at Santa Rosa RV park on our way through. Chris and Caelin were incredibly nice and accommodating. Also delivered an awesome meal right to our door. Quiet and peaceful. Spaces were gravel and nice and level with full hookups, cable and internet. Laundry was clean and worked as day. Highly recommend staying here if you are through this way.

We arrived well after hours and check in was easy. We found a spot got pulled in and the owner came by on a golf cart. He was helpful and kind. I felt safe the whole time we were there and love that we got to support a local business.

We checked in late and the camp host met us to show us our site which is nice because the park is dark at night. That bathrooms were mostly clean, maybe needs some new shower curtains? The site was clean and pull through friendly with 30amp hook ups. For $40 a night, 10/10.

If you’re looking for a Family run RV park with a great Location in between Albuquerque and Amarillo which is Big Rig accessible with large Pull thru spots ; look no further! Our goal is to find small town friendly RV Parks which have great access and a nice park to walk & run with our dogs . The bonus you get with this Park is it also has a family run restaurant which delivers delicious Bbq and more right to your Spot ! Thank you Chris for such a great nights stay ; we will definitely be back and will find next time . Denise & Chuck

My family's tow vehicle broke down just outside of Santa Rosa, and I had the tow truck take us to this campground in hopes that there would be a spot available for us. My wife and I have 7 children and were having an awful day, but Chris was understanding of our situation and moved some things around to get us a spot during a pretty busy weekend. We ended up being there for 4 nights, and during our stay, Chris went out of his way multiple times to help us out. Then, when I found out our tow vehicle was going to be in the shop for weeks, he even offered to store my trailer on site until I could pick it up. I hadn't read any of the reviews about this place until today, and it's really disappointing that people don't take the time understand others and often fail to respect those who've sacrificed to protect our freedoms. Chris, thank you again for your service to our country, for your hospitality towards our family, and for running a great campground.

Very good park easy access from the freeway. Had 50 amp power water and a dump station. Some sites had all 3
Shade trees. Fairly quiet. Have stayed here in the past and would recommend it

I arrived late and had no trouble finding my site in the dark as it had been marked with a traffic cone. The grounds were well kept and everything was in working order. I was skeptical of the bathrooms due to their age but found them to be some of the cleanest that I have encountered. The showers had plenty of dry space with lots of hooks to make changing a breeze. The dog park was also appreciated by my two dachshunds. They enjoyed running around in the shade off leash. Unfortunately, I didn't get to meet the infamous Chris due to my late arrival, but I think he went by on a golf cart to make sure I didn't have any issues getting settled. I'm also certain we would get along splendidly because I also get fed up with all the entitled asshats that do nothing to make the world a better place but complain constantly about everything!

We have been traveling by RV for months. What a cool place that I would stay again. They offer BBQ dinners delivered to your RV. We were exhausted and grateful that we didn’t have to cook or drive to find dinner. The brisket was great. My dog loved the dog part too.

Chris was very accommodating. We had a spot close to the dog park, the showers and bathrooms. He was even available for good conversation and change for the laundry. He was very shorthanded in the kitchen and still managed to provide a good meal for dinner. I would stay here again and also recommend it to other travelers. Also very quiet off the highway. Thank you, Chris.

First positive impression…the owner actually answered the phone when I called to ask for a spot! I don’t know what’s wrong with other RV parks that can’t even bother to call you back! Their loss!

It’s a peaceful place to stop, and you even get some views! Many mature trees that I know the owner puts effort into keeping alive in this heat.

The dog park - love, love, love! Shady area with grass that my pup absolutely loved. Happy pup, happy mamma!

And the food!! Yummy! Their ribs and brisket are amazing, and you have to try their cheese jalapeƱos! And they deliver to your site! What more can you ask for!

Lastly, I want to address the negative comments about the owner. He has a sense of humor (which I appreciate and like…we need more of that these days), he’s reasonable, accommodating, and fair. Go there with respect, you’ll have no trouble.
It’s obvious he puts effort into his park, and cares for the people staying there. He has the most amazing, lush vegetable garden. My husband and I stopped to talk to him, and he gave us the biggest zucchini I’ve ever seen! (Thank you, sir…it was absolutely delicious - made a meal for us).

I would absolutely stay here again!

Had a great spot (#9). RV park was quiet and our space was a good size and pull thru. I met the famous Chris that was mentioned in many of the reviews that were negative saying he was rude, but I found him pleasant with a good sense of humor. During our conversation I discovered he was a Navy Corpsman in Afghanistan and his father was a Navy Frogman in Vietnam. We shared stories of our dad's service experience, but would have like to talk to Chris more about his service. I think people should take more time to talk with people then to just complain. The park had a restaurant and a pool, but we did not use either. We did not hear a train either!! I would stay here again.
