Arizona Spine & Joint Hospital

I cannot say enough good about this hospital! After, spending time in other large hospitals, with no help from titanium hypersensitivity ( toxicity), Arizona Spine and Joint Hospital had doctors, who knew about titanium toxicity and how to save my life. They gave me hardware removal surgery, to save my life. They also knew how to recover from the severe metal toxicity. Their staff, doctors all the way to chef gave a job of excellence. After a horrible nightmare care from large Hospitals, it was a miracle from God, to have me be saved from this hospital. A heartfelt thank you to Arizona Spine and Joint Hospital and entire staff. Like staying in a 5 star hotel, immediate attention. Just an added note, it is owned by a few doctors. They are particular, who works at their hospital. Even staff has high standards. Doctors have extensive knowledge and expertise. Very high qualifications.

This is a small, specialized hospital, run by physicians. It has a much more welcoming feel than the big hospitals and the staff are highly skilled in orthopedic surgery. The whole process, from checking in to discharge, was comforting. This was my second knee replacement, and I received a lot of good advice I wish I'd had the first time around. If only more of US healthcare could be physician run!

Arizona Spine and Joint Hospital gave me outstanding service and care during my stay. I would also like to thank Dr. T, his wife Kate, and Dr. Kralik for their great skills and knowledge. I'm so thankful my wife and I found these skilled surgeons.

The Nurses, CNAs, PTs, & Staff were all AMAZING!!! My mom had knee surgery a week ago and our experience there was great!! Everyone was kind and helpful from admission to post op. I can’t remember everyone’s names but I did take some down! We loved how kind and helpful her nurse Kaylani was!!! The most important part to us was having a Spanish speaking nurse on staff. My mom only speaks Spanish and it was so comforting to us knowing at night she was left with someone she could understand and communicate with! Thank you to Josephina and Nasthja for taking such good care of my mom! The physical therapist, Ruth is incredible!!! My mom adored her and made us feel confident about taking her home!! Special thank you to KASS, CNA!!!! She provides excellent patient care. Spine and Joint hospital provided quality care!

THIS HOSPITAL IS FANTASTIC!!! I have never had such a wonderful experience with medical professionals in Arizona... they have the best staff I have ever come across in this state... from the phone, to the door, to the room... every member of the staff was friendly, compassionate, & sincere... their positivity & kindness are the only reason I survived this procedure mentally... I cannot give enough praise... well done!!!

Just had a procedure here. Nicest staff from the front desk to the nurses. All so polite, professional and friendly. Clean facility, efficient process. I would highly recommend this facility.

Dr. Song took the time to explain the best course of action regarding my decade old back injury. We ultimately decided that surgery was the best solution and that a fusion at L5-S1 was a necessity.

I had been living in immense amount of pain for a prolonged amount of time (approx 17 months) due to the incompetent staff of the VA healthcare system. Knowing this, Dr. Song was able to schedule me for surgery within weeks of my original appointment.

My experience at the Arizona Joint and Spine Hospital was unlike any I’ve had before. The facility, although smaller than a typical hospital, was very clean, modern, and a comfortable environment. It is clear that the owning physicians take a lot of pride in their place of work.

The staff was phenomenal! During my stay I was not treated like a nuisance, and was provided with exceptional care. I have never been treated so kindly at a hospital.

I am currently 5 days post surgery and could not be more satisfied with the results. The unbearable nerve pain I was experiencing has subsided and I am beginning to gain my strength back.

I would absolutely recommend this facility and Dr. Song for individuals who are in need of surgery. I could not be more satisfied with my experience.

This is hands down the best hospital I have ever stayed in. I had a cervical discectomy and fusion. From the minute i checked in until the time i checked out all staff were extremely caring and attentive. Very polite and understanding, extremely helpful and constantly making sure you are ok and always offering any help whenever needed. I felt all staff went above and beyond during my stay. Made me feel very comfortable and also helped calm my nerves. Would highly recommend!

10 stars would be more like it! Had hip replacement surgery here….by Dr Bryce. All the staff kind, professional, willing to go the extra distance. Day shift staff Michelle in pre op, Amber, Genesis, Night shift staff, Nancy , Chris you made me feel safe and secure at all times. I bless you all. PT was ever so gentle and caring, felt I could do what they asked always. Please keep up the great work, you are all doing a exceptional job!!!

5 STARS for sure. Great efficient and caring staff. I had a spine operation on 10-05-2022 at the hospital and could not be more pleased with the care I received. I want to particularly commend and compliment Ashley Dawson, RN Day nurse. She is exceptionally efficient and went out of her way to cheer me up. She is the kind of RN we all wish we have when we are hospitalized. Thanks Ashley

I had minor knee surgery at Arizona Spine & Joint Hospital August 2020. From the moment I entered the front door, staff made me feel welcome and helped ease my nervousness. Registration process, pre- op, surgery and recovery room experiences were all wonderful! Special thanks to Dr Hansen, Geoff, Dr Conrad and amazing nurses: Esther, Katie, Merideth and Mary. Staff even called a week after I got home to check up on me. I highly recommend this hospital and dedicated team of professionals. Thank you to each and every one of you!

Wonderful experience for a stressful event. Every person here was pleasant, reassuring and professional. I am a baby when it comes to starting an IV and Judy did the best job of it that I ever had. It was over before I even got anxious. Each doctor and nurse I had was excellent. I will be back for my knee replacement surgery. Knowing I will be in good hands is a great comfort.

I had to go in for a knee replacement. I have never ever been taken such good care of. They are very caring and catered to my every need. Everyone was so nice . I would so recommend this place to anybody who's getting spine or knee surgery.

Dr. Maxwell Thomas performed my hip replacement surgery 6/25/20 at AZ Spine & Joint Hospital. I have had many operations at several of the hospitals in the East Valley but none of them can hold a candle to the treatment I received at AZ Spine & Joint. Everything was handled in a very caring, professional, safe way (even with COVID-19 raging)! I never felt at risk and I felt like my care was their top priority. Everything from pre-admission to the COVID test to pre-op to the surgery and after care was done with me in mind (at least that’s the way they made me feel!) I received excellent care from everyone involved in surgery and the food was great! THANK YOU for giving me my life back!

The Staff we the greatest, July 14th I had knee replacement surgery, everyone from Doctor Bryce, to Mary who got me ready for surgery, Ellen, Leslie, Chris, Madison who took care of me during my stay I wish I could remember all your names. The Lady and young man that brought my food, were so nice, an the food was Great. Thanks again for caring about me showing me you really cared. It was a harder time that we couldn’t have love ones with us, you took over for them. I can’t Thank You Enough.

I had hip replacement surgery this past Thursday, June 6th and was so genuinely impressed with the level of care, the kindness and the respect I received that I felt I must share a review. First of all, my surgeon, Dr.Maxwell Thomas, is the absolute best! He is caring and he listens! Haven’t found another like him. The nursing staff was unbelievably attentive, friendly, knowledgeable and seemed to truly care about my comfort. The food was amazing, too! And the facility was spotless. It didn’t really feel like a hospital but more like a friend’s home. I cannot say enough about the care I received at this location. I would recommend Az. Spine & Joint to anyone with bone issues. And if your hips are the issue, it’s Dr.Maxwell Thomas of Ortho Arizona, all the way.

I would like to commend all of the staff from OrthoArizona and the Arizona Spine and joint Hospital. I started with Dr. Hanson and he was upfront and honest is stating that my damage was too severe for him to help me. He referred me to Dr. Sharpe. Dr. Sharpe was very personable and took the time to explain to me what he felt needed to be done. His PA Casey was also very helpful and again went over everything I needed to know while in our per-op meeting. When at the ASJH they both met with me and explained everything to my family. The anesthesiologist was amazing and comforted me knowing that I was a bit anxious about the spinal. Once out of surgery the staff at the hospital was amazing Nurses Judy and Madison and and NA's Char and Taylor were awesome. Always in a good mood and took great care. Dave was great with the PT and explained the do's and dont's in great detail. I sit here at home 2 days after surgery and the only discomfort I have is a bit from the incision when I stand up and sit down. I would recommend this staff and these doctors to anyone looking for great care.

I had a left knee replacement last year on 1/12/16 at this hospital & Dr. Maxwell Thomas did a great job. The office workers & nurses were great. The food was awesome & my husband got to eat with me. I had my right knee done 8 years before in St. Louis & it was a lot more painful & therapy was so painful. This hospital had me walking & going up & down stairs within 24 hours. The therapy was unbelievable that I went to the day after I went home..no severe pain. This surgery was a total miracle & my knee has been doing great. I was referred to Dr. Thomas by 2 friends of my sister & I will refer anyone who is having a knee replacement to go to Dr. Thomas at Banner Gateway Medical Center & be sure to request surgery at the Arizona Spine & Joint Hospital at 4620 E. Baseline Rd. Mesa, Az. 85206. I give them a 5 Star.

SHOULD BE EVERYONE'S FIRST CHOICE! I selected this hospital because of my experience in 2018. Definitely, FIRST RATE with the most AWSOME staff. With COVID still around, I felt much more at ease especially having to be tested upon arrival and NO ONE permitted into the hospital. Very clean facilities that are well-maintained. Everyone seems happy with pleasant smiles.

PLUS THE "MISSED" ONES!

The facility and staff at AZ Spine & Joint Hospital were outstanding. I had shoulder surgery in May 2015 and was nervous about it. From check-in to discharge, all staff were caring, personable, and very proficient at what they do, quickly putting me at ease. The care was excellent throughout my 4-hour stay. I was especially impressed by the anesthesiologist, who phoned me at home the evening before surgery to go over all details with me, and then spent time with me in pre-op to go over it all again. Likewise, both my surgeon and his PA spent time with me in pre-op answering my questions and explaining everything. I knew I was in good hands, relaxed, and let the pros do what they do. I rate the overall experience as outstanding and would definitely use this facility again. I was also given great advice and meds for pain management and have had good results. Of course I have pain, but it's manageable.
