Wow! I'm not one for museums, my fiancé loves them. This was so cool. Only $6 and there is so much to see! Everything is nicely kept and I loved the way they had it all arranged. Two floors and a pioneer town out back. The town was the coolest. We spent a good two hours here and can't wait to come back and see the tribal dance.

It was fascinating to see the history of Lander WY and the surrounding areas. I loved the Native American artifacts. I enjoyed seeing old pictures of the 1800's.
There is so much to look at.
Would definitely love to go again!

This is a great little museum. Packed with many local items. A great deal to see inside. Outside were log cabins. Homes that are furnished with interesting items. This was our second visit to the museum.

This is a great little museum. There are rotating exhibits featuring different aspects of both Western and Indian art and culture. This is a unique museum because it isn’t full of your standard western expansion exhibits and focuses mostly on the Lander and Winds regional history. It is perfect to spend 30-60 minutes for a quick visit or spend multiple hours if you’re a western history buff.

The outdoor western town recreation is also a nice addition and consists of around 10-12 buildings for the kids to explore.

We would happily visit this the next time we’re in the area.

If you’re a local resident make sure you let them know to get the lower rate. Even as a visitor the rates were very reasonable.

Super friendly staff that truly enjoys where they are to say the least. So much information around that you could literally take hours in there looking at different things and reading. Went on a slow day and had the whole place to ourselves. Snow was on the ground and everything was locked but they offered to open up anything that we'd want to take a look in which was above and beyond and makes me want to stop by anytime I come thru this way going forward~

Admission is 6 dollars for adults that are out of state people. The museum boasts a neat collection of Native American ledger art, a beautiful powder horn collection, and a nice collection of historical pieces like old buggies, clothing, household items...etc. we enjoyed our time looking around.

This is an amazing museum, it's full of so many artifacts and lots of information. Plan on several hours at least. It is very interesting and well arranged. I learned a lot about the American Indians, buffalo and Wyoming that I never heard before.

Excellent regional museum! Several high caliber visiting exhibits, Ledger Art, for example. Recently acquired EXCEPTIONAL art by Ralston of Chief Washakie.
Recently hired executive director responsible for these new displays.
DEFINITELY WORTH THE TIME!
