Great food and service! Steaks were cooked perfectly and the sides were delicious

We've never been to this quaint and very welcoming restaurant. My goodness, but this is a true diamond 💎 in the rough. How does 5-star food, service and atmosphere sound in a small, tucked away town in the mountains of Wyoming? We've been sharing wedge salads for decades (see pic) but never imagined a dish so satisfying and so flavorful. And that was just the beginning. Our entire meal and experience was top-of-the-line and so memorable. Oh yeah, we'll be back!

Love this place! Traveling between Buffalo & Jackson…..what a treat. The menu is superb & the brewery beer offerings are varied & offer a true beer lover a great selection to enjoy. I had the Rock Chock Rye, which was delicious. The Rainbow Trout was fantastic with the artichoke hearts, spinach, lemon herbed beurre Blanc & toasted hazelnuts was sublime to be sure!
Cowfish would be a must stop every time I come through Lander in the future. 🙏

Well-Prepared food, good quality ingredients, ample vegetable portions with entree and good beer and House wine. Alltogether very pleasant experience. My only criticism is that the steak and mashed potatoes that I had were excessively salty. The food and ingredients would have stood out moreso, on their own without so much salt

We were told by a lot of locals that this place was expensive and fancy. So we thought that the portions would be small and that it’d cost $300 for dinner. Not true. Nice sized portions. Not incredibly expensive. Also not fancy to the point you should dress all the way up. Which was nice too. Service was fast and good. The rainbow trout was incredible and so was the ribeye with the fancy tatters lol.

Wonderful atmosphere, amazing service and the food was to die for! The Red Miso Sea Bass melts in your mouth it was absolutely incredible!

I had the meatloaf and it was excellent. Service was very good and food came out quickly. Had the Hefeweisen by Lander Brewery and it was very good

4.8 stars! Delicious jumbo shrimp and winter warmer beers that were positively perfect for the February weather. These were the best and biggest shrimp I have ever had, they seemed more like a half dozen chicken drumsticks. I thought there could have been more fries with the meal but otherwise super friendly service, calming atmosphere and a good time. Will visit again if back in Lander!

For a small town, this is the place for dinner and drinks! The fish and chips is fabulous as well as wasabi stack. Steaks are tasty I haven’t ordered anything that I didn’t like!

Great dinner. The truffle fries were so good. We had salads, pasta, salmon and everyone was so happy with their meals. The servers were attentive and friendly. We didn't have our dog but the patio is dog friendly. Worth a stop if you come through Lander! Only open for dinner right now.

Great service and food. After a long travel day through Yellowstone and Teton National Parks I had to stop here and see how it compares to six years ago. I was looking forward to the Bacon Wrapped Bison Tenderloin but they were out of it so I went with the Cow Crustacean and was very satisfied with the recommendation. Started with the fresh baked bread and Boursin Cheese-Stuffed Mushrooms and they didn't disappoint. Any chance I get I'll come back for sure.

This may be one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to! The food was great, the service was awesome, and our experience was fantastic. My wife is celiac, and they were able to accommodate. It was a bit pricey, but I think it’s worth it for a once-in-a-while outing.

Such a great little restaurant. The food and cocktails were delicious. They have a very nice outdoor space and we were able to bring our pup along with us. We travel quite a bit and are always thankful for restaurants that allow dogs on their patio. We will absolutely be back!

All I can say is if you're eating here you have to try the cow tips with penne pasta and Tequila sauce. It was one of the best meals I've eaten in a long time and it wasn't even mine. I had to bag my sister to share. I can say I had the meatloaf which was also very good but there's something about that sauce on that pasta that makes me wish I lived in Lander. I took photos which I will add later. Enjoy I promise you won't be disappointed.

We experienced four great meals (best sea bass I’ve ever had — and here in Wyoming!) The service was super friendly and astoundingly fast and flawless. The beer brewed on site was wonderful. I unconditionally recommend eating here.

My wife and I had an unexpected awesome experience at Cowfish. We have been traveling/exploring for 40 plus days. We agree, this meal at Cowfish was the best of our trip. A small framed certificate at the host desk humbly announces the chef at Cowfish was a James Beard award semi finalists for the Mountain region. Impressive! The food we were served reflected this achievement. I had the spicy coffee rub ribeye and my wife had the cow tenderloin tips pasta. Both exceeded our expectations. Our server Becca was spot on with knowledge of the dishes, recommendations and attentiveness.
We can’t wait to go back.

Amazing food beer and service I recommend getting the Roasted Garlic Bulb and the Orecchiette Pasta, so delicious.

Always a great choice of dishes. Loved the Scottish Ale. The baked brussel sprouts were a solid start to the meal.
