The food was always great! My partner and I ordered Oyters Po’ Boy. The Chef today appeared to have forgotten to add the prime and distinctive seasoning like we had last time. The service was excellent. Sorry we can’t remember the name of the server. She was always checking in and offered us selections of desserts. We ordered the Coconut Pie with Ice cream. It was excellent and was presented well. We were so stuff and we just ordered one to share. Last comment, there were two male customers on the bard and seemed to be arguing for some silly reasons. Great salads and shrimp cocktail. Also the burgers are good and the Philly cheese steak is one of the best around. Good cocktails and wine selection too. Servers are friendly and fun!

First visit I had a meatball sub special. It was soooo good. Went back for another sub. No luck. It wasn't on the menu. Had the fish sandwich. It was great too. I'll be going back next time I'm visiting that way (it's 60 miles from me). Service great. Food really good. Place looks a little shabby but who cares when the food is so good.

Tavern 125 is a charming experience in a “more to just it’s size” town . They make the first move with a hello when you walk through the door ( warm and welcoming ). Only for a drink to follow soon thereafter. Where the employees treat you human , you can only thank the service of the waitresses , cooks , manager and owner as you walk out of this place. Also, randomly to yourself the following days. They engage in conversation, and have great energy . If you want a stimulating story leaving you with questions , just ask for Amanda. I would recommended the “French Dip” ( Thank you Dawn !) as it comes with juicy sirloin slices and a more then savory dip. If you need any kind of reassurance , ask for Carolyn every time . You’ll always remember this place .

We were working near this restaurant. Pleasantly surprised to find this place. Nicely decorated with friendly staff. The lunch sandwiches were delicious.

We both enjoyed seafood platters cooked to profection. The waitress was pleasant and kept our tea glasses filled. My date and I both from Va~ had dessert and salads to go. Not too far from the VA. border, so I will be returning. A must check out location.

Ordered the delicious soft shell crab sandwich with coleslaw as a side!

I love this restaurant! The food is always great and the services is so nice! Usually we hang around and chat after our meal. At most places when this happens they never come back to fill your drinks. However at the tavern the servers check back on us multiple times. Plus we never feel rushed or like we are in their way!

I went there last night with the wife and family. Great atmosphere, and it looks better than all the other restaurants that I've been in in the area. Service was quick and they didn't allow our glasses to empty. Keith came out from the back and introduced himself and was very personable. This family owned restaurant is a gem in an otherwise mediocre locality for places to eat.

I went there for lunch on a school trip with a group of friends. There were several other groups who went as well. The food took about a half hour to come out, which is amazing considering how many people were in the restaurant at the time. The food was delicious and I would definitely recommend it! The staff were very nice and I had a great experience overall.

You could uproot this place and sit it in New Orleans or Charleston... It would still be a great restaurant! You simply cannot find food like this in this area. The service was great. The bar is amazing. The atmosphere is wonderful. I love the Tavern and will definitely be a regular.

Ate here on Thursday. Service and food were great. The place was very clean and looks like it just opened, even though it has been there for 12 years. Would definitely go back.

Rode up with OBX Hog chapter for a great lunch. Staff and food were excellent.

The atmosphere is clean and cozy. The hostess and waiters are awesome. And I love their food. They have a wide variety of foods you can choose from. Burgers and fries to steaks to seafood.
