Mel's diner has been in business for 24 years it's family ran by mama... two daughters and Daddy's retired but still works there amazing food.. amazing company .. overall just a good experience highly recommend... so friendly. food salad bar.. was well priced and amazing tasting....ty we will be back

We had another large family gathering and the staff was very accommodating again. The food and service was excellent as usual. Steak was terrific and salad bar was well stocked with plenty of options! Definitely recommend and will be back soon!

Can't beat a place like this. Everybody from the owner to the server is just as nice as can be. Salad bar was amazing with plenty of selections. Can't go wrong with anything here!

Our food is delicious every time!! Consistency is the key!! The fish is almost as good as my husband's 😂🤣 The salad bar is one of the best. Thank you for want you do and the service you provide!!

I have only been here twice and both times I got the hamburger steak but I love it and look forward to trying more from the menu.

Came through Smithville from a college graduation and the food was great! Plenty of southern hospitality and one of the best salad bars I've had. Will definitely come back when we're coming back through.

The waitress said it was hee first night doing tables, she rocked it. Very sweet lady, her name slips my mind. Great food, I've had a lot of different meals. I recommend going simply for the salad bar!!!!! Yum!

Have been eating here for 15 years now. I love the food, the club sandwich, the fried green tomato sandwich. The lunch buffet with dessert and drink included! Delicious. Wonderful people Melanie, Bobby and Jean, both girls.

Mel's has some great food! My favorite is the chicken strip plate. Best Chicken strips Ever!
You can eat in their friendly, always clean restaurant or order and take home.
But note: When the church doors are open, Mel's Diner is closed. May God continue to Bless this family!

Best place to sit down and have a wonderful meal. You can get just about anything you want. The food is always great. Good service!
