Pit Stop Cafe

Cozy place, walls covered in old photos of people and memorabilia. Very off route 66. Despite every seat in the house being filled I had a hard time getting my cup half empty. Food was great, fresh, little details like salt on the tomato really speak to the skill of the chef. Definitive examples of our orders. When the meal came out with the wrong side, another waitress had the right dish on my table before I could mention it. Exceptional all around.

Passing through OK we stopped in at this cute little diner. The people were super nice and attentive. The food was delicious and as expected for American breakfast fare. Prices were reasonable. Definitely recommend!

Nice & bright & cheery & clean cafe.

All of the staff folks were very friendly, welcoming, attentive & conversational
(even those who weren't serving us!)
Service was very quick - even though it was lunch hour - and staff responded to our every need.

Now.... the food.
I had coconut cream pie - and it was Outstanding! (and I have very high standards for coconut cream pie). This piece of pie was amongst the best I've ever had - possibly #2 on my "lifetime list."

Donna had the Chocolate pie, which she described as "scrumptious!," noting that this wasn't just chocolate pudding dumped into a pie crust, as so many places serve, but was the real homemade chocolate filling.

On both pies the meringue was near perfect.... Not too fluffy, not too soft, not too stiff; and just about perfectly lightly browned. Awesome!

We also got a slice of the highly praised Peanut Butter pie "to go" to try at home later.

And, even got to say "Hi" to Mary, the Pie Baker, who was there working in the kitchen!

According to the banner they had posted (see photos) the Pit Stop had been voted "the best pies in Grove,"
and we think this honor was definitely well-earned!!!!!

Prices were very very reasonable!

One small problem.... The Pit Stop is Not real easy to find - small signs, not very prominently posted or visible from the road.

So..... Highly Highly Recommended!!!!!
If you are anywhere in the area... GO to the PIT STOP for Pie!!!!!
(We're only going to be in this area another couple days, but going back to try the rest of their food is high on our agenda given how good today's visit was)!!!!!

Cozy diner with great food and great service. I've not had anything bad here.

Took my sister and her sons here. First time for us. The food (burger and fries for me), was delicious!

Atmosphere is amazing. Food & prices excellent. Service quick and friendly. It was like stepping back in time. Loved this place!!!!!!

We actually came here for lunch because we had won gift certificates from a local golf tournament. The place was hopping busy (lunchtime on a Wednesday) but we were warmly greeted and waited on. Our waitress was super friendly & helpful with menu selections and another waitress walking past our table jumped in to get us drink refills (teamwork at its best!).
Our food was delicious and I really wish I had room for a piece of one of their homemade pies (4 to choose from).
Excited to return and try breakfast here as well.

it’s hard to find good service AND good food in grove, but the pit stop is easily one of the best places to eat!! excellent service, and the food was soo yummy. very friendly environment and they have the best staff! and i can’t forget to mention that the pricing of their food is unbeatable ! recommend 10/10

Great food and service, friendly atmosphere.

My daughter's & I were looking for a place to have coffee together in Grove. I had never even seen this place, but because of the reviews, we decided to try it. It is small and quite friendly. I actually heard one of the waitresses call a customer by name. We ordered coffee, and thy offered us a choice of liquid flavored creamers! Pumpkin spice! Yummy! The food was delicious. I ordered the Texas skillet. This little cafe is very popular & very busy! Had a great time with my daughters & grandbabies!

Great mom and pop deli.. Extremely great waitress. Food was.most excellent for not having to pay for extras. Western omelet was fantastic, hashbrowns and biscuits and gravey with no extra cost. They have french vanilla for your coffee if you ask.

I generally only write reviews if the service/food is excellent or horrible. In this case, I wanted to write because I couldn't believe how good the food was and how much we got for $7 bucks. I ordered the western omelette and my husband had the three egg, sausage, hash browns and biscuits and gravy. My omelette also came with hash browns and biscuits and gravy. The food was so excellent and our waitress was very friendly and kept our coffee filled and it was just a fun little place to eat. I highly recommend it!

One of the best places in Grove to get something to eat. I always get an omelet for breakfast there. They always make it to order and use fresh ingredients. The staff there is very nice and will never leave your coffee cup empty. I highly recommend this restaurant and is one of my favorite places to eat when I come back to Grove.

Got service right away. Coffee was RIGHT there. Refills prompt.
Food very good. Filled me right up.
Facilities were clean and bright.
NO credit/debit cards accepted. Prices are much more reasonable than most other places.
I am definitely going to become a regular customer.

Best burger and onion rings!

This is my go to place for lunch. Great burgers and the staff is amazing there. I just love that when I call for food they already know what I want to order because I go there so much.. today I threw them a curve ball and got a breakfast burrito..... OMG that hit the spot for breakfast this morning thanks again for the great food!

What a nice place! Staff is so friendly and it's good vibes all around.
