Sam's southern Eatery

Thanks to all of the reviews, we decided to try Sam's, and it was so good! Red beans and rice, fish, and shrimps were great. The potato salad was just ok. Will go again when we're in the area.

Tonight was our first experience at Sam’s and we loved it. It’s definitely a don’t judge a book by its cover kind of place. My husband got the double southern burger and I got the shrimp po boy and both were cooked well and tasted great. The veggies were fresh. The fries were seasoned well.
The man serving us was kind and fast.
We’ll be back.

A small place with good food and service. I like the shrimp and oysters. The wife likes the fried catfish and shrimp. I like small "Hole in the wall" places with great food! Good job Sam's!

Bobby was such a wonderful server/cashier! So helpful and kind, and a wonderful person to chat with. Loved my shrimp so much I took it home, the catfish was beyond tasty, the red beans and rice was superb, the hush puppies were fantastic, and the potato salad was delicious. Definitely my new go to spot for fish and shrimp! Definitely coming back soon!

We came off Lake Murray hungry and when our original place to eat fell through we stumbled upon this amazing little restaurant nestled in Ardmore off the beaten track. The food was ALL amazing! It came out fast and piping hot! The waitress was super sweet and very attentive. Between four adults and four children we ordered half then menu and everything tasted wonderful! I had the homemade gumbo and it was better than the gumbo I got in New Orleans earlier this summer! The cheese sticks and cheddar peppers were hot and fresh! The fried fish was melt in your mouth delicious! So happy we decided to eat here! You should too!

Great catfish!!!! That was then. The now is a little different. The fish looked more like fish sticks, the red beans and rice was more like rice with a hint of red beans. The coleslaw was dry. So when I went back I tried the cheesteak sandwhich. What a waste of money that was. They once were great but have just went down hill like so many places in this area.

This place is amazing. Huge portions, not pricey. Hand breaded shrimp. Hand breaded fried green tomatoes. Waitstaff was wonderful! My new favorite place in Ardmore to eat.

You want some Cajun food in Oklahoma there's a place to stop and get you some catfish was cooked to perfection been to Louisiana many times and had some gumbo from the way Backwoods and theirs was every bit as nice friendly staff Quick Service and budget-friendly price I'll be back every chance I get

Excellent food and good service. Felt right at home. Enjoyed the crab cakes and fried oysters, sides were wonderful too.

Was not quite what I was expecting, having issues with fountain drinks but tea was great! Just wish for a larger glass .Food was amazing!!! And our waitress Journey was outstanding! Pleasant and friendly.

Man! You gotta try the shrimp! The catfish is decent, not the best ever. I don't know how they get those big ole shrimp this far inland while still tasting that good. I would go there even if that was the only thing on the menu. The staff is super friendly and the prices aren't bad. If you eat like I do you can expect to spend about $16 - $18 per plate but I order six shrimp and get at least 8 every time.

We decided to try some place different a couple weeks ago & hit this place right when they opened on a Friday. I completely understand why they are so busy most of the time. The food was fresh & seasoned perfectly, and the staff were friendly & gracious. We’ll definitely be back.

Best fried fish I've had in Ardmore. Best hush puppies I've had in the American Southwest. Came here on a whim and was blown away with how good the food is. The price is very reasonable for what you are getting, and when I ordered the 8 piece fried shrimp I found they gave me an extra one. They definitely don't skimp out on the portions. The wait staff is also very good. Never felt like I was neglected. Will definitely come back.

Awesome food! The food wad so good and the portions were great. I've been to pricier places and gotten less than what I got here. Service was awesome, they were so nice, attentive and friendly! Definitely going back!!!

The food is amazing! I love the seasoning on the catfish and the tartar sauce was so delicious as well! Rachel was very prompt and courteous from the beginning of my order to the end. I would definitely recommend to a friend! They do dine in and take out! It's a must try for everyone.

So good, big quantity of food, taste was exceptional and wait staff was friendly. My husband and I will return soon. We had the chicken wings and fried shrimp with fried green tomatoes as an appetizer. If you haven't tried it yet, you must go.
