Food was great! The reason for 4 stars and not 5 for food was that we had an awesome breakfast but the gravy was out of a box or pouch. That's pretty much the norm at all breakfast restaurants now but it still irritates me. Be known for your gravy, make the effort. Ask your customers! EVERYONE (except maybe Yankees) would rather have homemade sausage gravy!

Stopped by for breakfast with my husband on Saturday morning, we were seated after a short 5 minute wait. we were attended to quickly and we were pleasantly surprised on how fast our food came out. Everything was delicious. We will return if we are able in the area again.

Great experience! Food was fresh and delicious. Waitress was friendly. Food was delivered quickly. Host was kind and handed out balloons from previous night's college football viewing party. Will definitely be visiting again.

We were in Ardmore for the weekend, and this restaurant came up with really good reviews in a Google search. With the parking lot totally packed at 1030 on a Saturday morning, we figured we would have a long wait.

I stopped a couple in the parking lot just to ask them if there was a long wait. They kindly told us the wait wasn't long at all.

We went inside, nearly every single table was filled. We put our name on the wait list, and we we called within 5 minutes.

Both our waitress and the food were AMAZING!!

Everything was so good we went back this morning. Everything was just as good as yesterday!!!

We ate at the prairie house on a Saturday morning. They were packed and we were still seated within five minutes and served quickly… almost unheard of these days. The staff was friendly and efficient and the food was delicious! I had the black bean and roasted corn omelet and my wife enjoyed her Cattle Barron’s Breakfast platter. Tons of deliciousness! Don’t be discouraged if there’s a line. There were 10-12 folks I. Front of us when we arrived and we were still seated and eating our food in just 10-15 minutes.

One of the best places I have eaten at in a long time. They give you that small town diner feel.

Super friendly staff and the food was so good 😋. We went in later in the day and still got a table full of breakfast food pretty quickly. The servers were attentive but not in an overbearingly, constantly at the table way. We were able to enjoy the meal in peace and still get what we needed when we needed.

Amazing biscuits and gravy. I was told the steak was one of the best steaks he’s had in his life. Place was very busy but we were sat promptly and food was served quickly.

Great food and even better service. Hailee is spot on about taking care of her tables. She is friendly and courteous with everyone. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone. Keep up the great service!

My wife and I showed up and only had to wait less than 15 minutes. They were very busy but everyone got seated fast.
The food was very good. And the bacan...OMG...the best ever. Took a bite of the bacon, and it brought me back to when I was in cubscouts camping out and cooking bacon on an open fire. That was the best.
Can't wait to go back to try what else is the best.

Absolutely DELICIOUS food and service! First time visit here. I've passed this restaurant from the interstate but wasn't able to park a big truck near location. Also wasn't sure of the hours of operation.

A small slice of heaven on earth. The biscuits are homemade. My husband is a chicken fried steak snub- and this is the best he has ever ate. Drinks are a little expensive. If you like bacon a little chewy- this is the place for you. Our service was fantastic! Best of all, they leave the coffee with you!

Don't drive past exit 31 if you are hungry!!

The only thing that compares with the food taste and quality is the value. The chicken fried steak breakfast came on three plates and was under 11.00.

Our server Jordan was great and really went out of her way when I asked for extra gravy. The restaurant was very busy but we were seated right away and were eating in under 15 minutes.

Even if ur not in this area, u should come here! The amount of food they serve u will satisfy any hardy eater! The staff is so friendly and makes sure ur needs never go unattended. I took my crew to eat here, and they worked harder deciding what to eat than they did working. 🤣🤣🤠😎

I was impressed with the quick service and cooking time. I had the 2 eggs + meat (1/2 ham) with white toast. Other orders at my table included French Toast, 2 eggs + meat (sausage patty) with a pancake, and the Turkey Melt with fries. Everyone was pleased with their selection, and other two breakfast orders were impressed with the hot maple syrup (which was still hot when the finished our meals). Our server did a great job making sure we wanted for nothing, and the dining room seemed clean and inviting.

My wife and I were traveling from Kansas City to Texas and wanted a good country breakfast.

We had a twin biscuit and a waffle plate.

The food tasted like a home prepared breakfast and very tasty.

I recommend any traveler to try this place if they want something that tastes like a home cooked meal.

My wife and I love Prairie Kitchen for breakfast! Never a wait, friendly staff and food is always hot and cooked to our request. One of the few places where you truly get what you pay for - plenty of food! My brother visited us from CA and absolutely loved it too!

I loved this place. When you want to feel like you walked through the door into your friends house, this place was that.
The server we had was so nice, and did not just “handle” our table, she took very good care of us.
The food was also very tasty. If I lived in Ardmore I would definitely be back regularly.

Loved this place! Stopped on our way driving back home from Oklahoma City and sure glad we did. The cowboy corn, Buffalo strips, and crispy shrimp were awesome!! Our waitress was also beyond friendly and helpful! Definitely will be back when we’re up in the area.
