Mercy Emergency Department - Ardmore

I went in hurting so bad I was doubled over and wanting to throw up. The staff got me right in and they were all so wonderful to me and my husband. Everyone was super nice and explained everything in great detail before they did anything and made sure I didn’t have any questions. They made sure I was comfortable in every way possible. Not only was the nurses, technicians and front desk staff so poliy but so was my doctor! They never let me go very long without checking on me and explaining to me how much longer it was going to be before my tests were ran. They went into great detail over my results and the meds that were given after. They all got us in and out fairly quickly. More so than any other ER I’ve been to in a long time. Thank you to all the staff that treated me!

I went in around 1 a.m. on a Wednesday and was taken back immediately. The staff were very nice. They did the necessary testing they had to do to figure out the problem, gave me a prescription, and sent me home with orders to follow up with my primary. They answered all the questions they could.

I've had nothing but good experiences here. Friendly staff, clean, orderly hospital.

Terrible hospital! this has been one of the worst visit to a hospital i've ever been to. they treated my family very poorly and caused us a lot of hardship they had only two nurses who we saw who was even remotely nice. i give those two credit for doing their job right. but the rest of the staff was just terrible for the nursery section. if you're having a baby i do not suggest going here. go to durant or somewhere in texas.

The staff are total robots,no caring,compassion,nothing.. Very rude

We are currently here in emergency, husband is in a "hall bed". Has asked for something for pain several times due to nausea/vomiting since 2:30am, they gave him Tylenol. Ummm Tylenol isn't helping. I seriously would not have brought him here if I'd known how this ER works. Never again!

I have Neuropathic Ulcers (2 previous diagnosis from Texas). Here at Mercy today I was completely treated as less than. My nurse did her best to accommodate after I complained about being set in the hall and asked to discuss my issue while people are walking up and down the busy hall.(Hippa Violation). She did find a room for me.Thank you! However,no one bothered to get or even ask for my insurance info( assuming I had none,based on record from my previous visit) Then the doctor was nice, but ran no test and diagnosed friction blisters. This lack and level of care was all based solely on the ASSUMPTION I'm uninsured. Yes in July 2022 when I visited,I did not have any. But today February 2023, I am insured. But records will not show that there, because NO ONE ASKED!! Its really sad that depending on who you are and what previous records show determines if you live or die.

Over 3 hr wait for appendicitis when i was in excruciating pain. Others in the ER had been there going on 5hrs. Nurse where nice but facility is nasty (fast food trash, cigarette buds on the floor) and ER wait time for serious issue are completely unacceptable. Will not be coming back to the ER! Would rather drive down to Gainesville or North to Norman that go through that wait while seriously ill again.

If I could give 0 stars I would! These people don’t know anything! I took my 8 month old here because of gastric reflux so bad I was worried she was getting dehydrated and all they wanted to do was give her a covid test! Then as I’m feeding her baby food they come tell me the only food she’s supposed to have at 8 months old is formula even though her pediatrician told me to start baby foods at 4 months! It’s not clean in there at all they’re were used cups in the room we were put in and almost everyone there was rude as all get out we will not be back!

The emergency room really sucks The nurses only there to get a paycheck they do not care about the patience other people that's coming in there for help I almost died in that emergency room at Mercy

If I could give negative starts I would. Dr. refused a CT of my hip after a replacement and after I busted my head open and I knew I had done something to it. Broke my hip. And they wait of 3 hours just to be treated HORRIBLE....they need to completely re do their policies.

Wait times are horrible, sanitation is terrible, staff have a great ability at not caring about anything other than their assigned task and sometimes not even that better beside manners from the stray cat that hangs around the er than the staff. Lack of any effective protocols. If you want to be treated poorly I suggest this place you have better luck staying at home.

Horrible if your ill but decent if your injured. Staff if usually friendly. But you usually leave with little info and a huge bill they start hounding you about before you even receive test results. The billing department is super rude! Been there dozens of times. Good luck!

Worst experience ever
Been in the ER for 4 1/2 hours with my 87 yr old dad
They have admitted him but nurse says waiting on room to be cleaned
REALLY. THIS IS ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS.
Mercy hospital needs to make some drastic changes. Certainly wish there was another option

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. We waited forever and not even as long as some of the others who were there before us. No one confirmed my information of who I was. Didn't ask for any identification, not even my name. Would not recommend this ER.

worst place ever. after having to wait over an hour and the doctor guessed what I had. didnt run any test and supposedly said I had the flu yet didn't give me any prescription for it, knowing I have kids at home. Nothing but a joke!

Ridiculously long wait times. Staff is slow, with no sense of urgency. It's better to drive to Marietta or even Norman.
