Max's Roadhouse

We are in the area for the winter months. We really enjoy experiencing everything local - stores, pubs, restaurants...you get the picture. We have passed by Max's Roadhouse quite a few times and decided yesterday was the day to stop by and have an early dinner. Online reviews were mixed with good and not-so-good, but the shining reviews helped us choose. And we are so glad we ignored the negative ones! We were immediately greeted and seated ourselves on the bar side when we arrived early around 4:30pm. The place was beautifully decorated for Christmas which was a treat. Music was playing but it was at a decent level and had a good playlist. My husband had an IPA with a Roadhouse Cheeseburger with Fries and I ordered the Hill Country Margarita and the Beef Tacos (2 large ones.) The server was attentive, prompt to respond, and just a delight to meet. The drinks and food were delicious, too. In fact, we had so much food we took some of it with us when we left. Thank you, Max's Roadhouse, for a wonderful dinner experience!

The food was great, the fries are incredible, the patty melt with an egg and bacon was on point. Highly recommend the poppers and cheese curds. Morgan was super responsive, over all a great experience

my friends and i went for some appetizers at max’s and the customer service was really nice! our waiter was very polite and patient and our food was pretty good overall. the jalapeño poppers were the best and the chili fries + fried ravioli were well made 😌 they also have karaoke for some fun

So much fun, went to see Rockcastle with my older brother and sister n law. My youngest brother is the bass player in the band, great wings, and funnel cake fries

We really enjoyed this place. We loved the atmosphere. Mostly locals having a drink after work and playing pool. The burgers n lots of french fries are delicious and I loved the jalapeńo poppers ! My hubby had pulled pork tacos totally delish. We will defensively return!

Great food and nice atmosphere. Our favourites are the pulled pork tacos, pulled pork grilled cheese and cheese fries. All delicious.

I have been here many times. Sometimes busy, sometimes not so busy. It is actually a really nice place to hang out for a minute or for an hour or two. There are a couple of pool tables, and a couple of dartboards. They also have several TVs hanging around the place if you want to keep up on current sports action. They have standard bar food on their menu, including a really good cheese burger. I eat gluten-free, so I always get the burger with no bun. You can't hide bad meat when there's no bun, and I've always been very happy with my burgers there. My wife says the pizza is awesome! The staff is generally very friendly and very attentive, and honestly I don't remember the names of my servers but they've all been great. There's an outdoor seating area with an outdoor stage for live music, which is really cool. It's just a fun place to hang out. Nobody gets in your business, but I see a lot of groups of friends meeting up there. I think it's a good place for locals, and a good place for non-locals. And they have pretty decent happy hour specials. It's worth your time to stop and hang out for a bit.

Service was fantastic! Very family friendly for those looking for great food and fun atmosphere to hang out. Decor is awesome and doesnt feel like most bars when you walk into. Theres a bar side with pool tables and a dining side where you can still enjoy family one-on-one. Food was delicious, highly recommend the stuffed mushrooms and the cheese sticks. Was a bit disappointed on the chicken wrap; what little guacamole there was was all at the end and the chicken wasn't that seasoned and tasted kinda bland but still the good outweighed the bad. Highly recommend!

Stopped here due to having a tire pop and sat down for a drink and something to eat. The Moscow mule was a little overwhelming with the lime, but the burgers were absolutely delicious and well portioned.

Delicious food and big portions. Our server was so sweet and attentive. We were super impressed.

Great place to eat and very clean. They have love bands on the weekends. They also have 2 pool tables and a shuffle board. Full bar with friendly staff. Looks like a great place to n unwind on a Friday night. I had chicken fajita tacos and they were big, I only ate one lol hubs had the chicken wrap and loved it. Really relaxed atmosphere for A great lunch or a night on the town for the weekend.

Smallish menu, but everything seems to be very well done. The jalapeno poppers were very tasty, just the right amount of heat. The Bloody Mary was epic. Most places seem to hold back on the liquor & Tabasco. Not here. Well done!

The young woman who helped us, Lauren, asked for our patience because she was new.
You’d never know it. She was spot on in every aspect. Big screen TV’s, pool tables, chill atmosphere, all the good stuff.
The next time we’re roaming down 281, we’ll stop again.

The Sirracha Fries are incredible! It's so nice having a spot out here that has great food, drinks, and service!

Stopped in for a bite tonight and I'm so glad we did. Pizza was thin, crispy and tasty and the thai chili wings were amazing! Great service and the staff (especially Lexi and Wyatt) were so friendly and talked to us like we've been friends with them for years. We'll most definitely be back!

We stopped in for hamburgers and they did not disappoint! The bread they use is one of my favorites, it almost has a sweetness to it. They are good sized, I could only eat half of mine so the other half went home for later. Our waiter Wyatt was great! Very friendly and attentive.

Max's was so delicious. They had a great stage area and nice staff. Looks like the place would be happening on Friday and Saturday night.

Great place to hand out with friends. Drinks reasonable, good menu to choose from. We had pizza 🍕 was only okay.

Food is delicious and they have a dog friendly patio. Never disappointed!
