Fayette Cares

The staff is always kind & helpful. And I find everything I need there. It’s my favorite thrift store. Plus the money from sales helps others. Fayette cares are they best thrift stores!

The last time I visited Fayette Cares was 12 years ago. I was in need and went there. The help I received was minimal and was told I could only come one time for assistance. Well, things have changed for the better. An entire new staff runs the facility. I told several friends about how wonderful it was and they too were told of the one time only visit. Melody was so kind, as was the staff. She took care of me for items I needed. Don't forget the thrift shop. I was impressed with the clothes they sold in their store, and the prices. For those in need I highly recommend this place. Also, more importantly they provide shelter for mothers and children in crisis from domestic violence.

Always a delight to find treasures here & helping people in need is a plus! The clothing thrift on the Sommerville Square is where ya go to find great clothing & shoes. They also have a lot of jewelry!

I have been humbled by unemployment and unable to pay rent, electric and I was out of propane to heat my home. On the verge of tears and a breakdown I figured it was worth a shot to go there afterall the least they could say is NO we can't help you. Everyone was kind, especially Melody she is my worker and was absolutely wonderful and helped me with all my concerns. I even found a job and Miss Melody is going to help me out with the black pants I need for my new job. When I am back on my feet I hope to be able to help a stranger in the same way Fayette Cares was there for me. Thank you so much for the helping hand out of a tough situation. God Bless you all and keep up the great work. I am very grateful they were there for me when I had nowhere else to turn.
