Paisano Pete

Had to see this on the way out of Fort Stockton. It's well mad and very large. Took several pics and met a family from California. No tickets needed

Parked at a parking lot nearby to capa picture since it's a pretty busy intersection. There is a museum right across the street were you can park and check out other exhibits.

Always fun to stop & visit the West Texas Chicken. 🤣. great for photos & meeting other travelers and locals.
you can't come to Fort Stockton & not stop for a photo. it's just the way it is.

Took time in Ft.Stockton to see the Paisano Pete being that we were passing through, coming back home to Hutto, Tx. Loved it.

We passed by Pete on our way from Big Bend to San Antonio. There isn't a lot to see along this route, so how could we pass up an opportunity to take pictures with what must be the world's largest roadrunner. Beep beep.

Quick stop in Fort Stockton to see Paisano Pete. I've stopped here to stretch my legs before heading West to reach El Paso. Also a great little stop to fuel and stock up on supplies before heading south to Big Bend NP.

What you see is what you get. Across the street is the visitor center. I recommend going there for more info of town. The young lady was very helpful and informative. Nice pic opportunities as well at the center.

I like Pete simply because he is so odd and quirky. Every small town should have something like this. It harkens back to the great American roadside attractions of the post-WWII era, such as those found along Route 66 at its height. Go see Pete if you get a chance. C'mon, you know you want to.

Very neat to take pictures next to Paisano Pete! Be aware if traveling I-10 W past Las Cruces, NM. I believe big Pete ran off as I found him again on the North side of 10.
Maybe Wylie Coyote was in pursuit??

I enjoyed my first visit to this town and seeing Paisano Pete up close was a treat I won't soon forget.

The stop at the Fort Stockton Museum was also worthwhile! Had no idea about it's history -always great to learn something new.

Paisano Pete the sight to see! We stopped by in December on our way to El Paso and he was dressed in Christmas attire.

This was a nice stop to take some pictures and stretch your legs on a road trip.

This is technically the SECOND largest roadrunner in the United States. However the other one in New Mexico was not nearly as impressive as Paisano Pete. He was wearing an awesome outfit and you could walk up to him to take a photo with easy parking nearby. Great stop if you are passing through the area.

Too fun to get your photo with Paisano Pete!! Go do it!! One of those roadside attractions you don't want to miss!

If you're in ft Stockton you have to see the sites and Pete is a good one. There is some historic stuff around as well so take 20-30 min and check it out.
