Our Lady of the Pines

An interesting "little" attraction in this remote section of the Canaan Valley area.
Definitely worth stopping to check it out.

Very cool spot! Me and my girlfriend were out for nice drive. This was 1 or 2 spots we wanted to come to. Worth coming.

It is a beautiful peaceful place. I have stopped by here a few times before in the past and I was by there and just had to stop again. A must see!!!

I love this place because it's absolutely beautiful and the history behind its construction is heart warming. However, I have to make a PSA to you all. Cellular service is limited so make sure you download the map/know where you are going next before you arrive there. I got lost after I left the Church so I took a massive detour in order to go to my next destination.

We drove thru the town and noticed the sign. We pulled over and discovered this church. Very nice and quiet place. Definitely worth visiting.

This is such a fun location to stop at! It’s completely free and you can go inside the church and there’s a small post office behind it. Very unique place for pictures and worth the stop.

Cute little chapel located very close to Blackwater Falls State Park. It has never been used for regular scheduled Mass. Some wedding as performed here.

Love the history behind this beautiful church and the little post office is a bonus. They were starting the foundation for the visitors center the day we visited. This is such a wonderful memorial and the craftsmanship is amazing. I'm so glad we had the time to visit while on vacation from Eastern NC.

What a nice place to stop. It was so peaceful. Bring a dollar and someone's address so you can send a postcard. I thought that was so fun.

Little beautiful church! Very cute and nice place! The church is small and accommodates only a few people. Any visitor can go inside and explore the interior. Around the church is a great place to relax, there is a gazebo, a picnic area and a swing!

Our Lady of the Pines is a beautiful chapel and is a wonderful place to visit.

One of the most unique spots to visit in west Virginia. It's worth a drive through the mountains to see.

Awesome to be on side roads and come across a great little stop with signs indicating it's the smallest church in 48 states. It also lists its post office as the smallest too.

They have free post cards, magazines, pictures, and a beautiful scenic location. It's no charge but a donation box is located inside the entryway before going into sanctuary.

This is a peaceful place. I took some post cards and left a donation. Thanks to whomever maintains this neat stop.

Awesome little attraction close to the hotel we stayed in. We went here while visiting Blackwater Falls and enjoyed the peace and quiet. It REALLY is pretty small. But that is part of the attraction, they have post cards, pictures, and poems you can take for a keepsake and all they ask for is a donation.

Absolutely love this place. My mother n I always came here at least once a year. Sometimes more than that. We brought my kids here as youngsters n now bringing my grandkids. It's very well kept. Beautiful inside. An the scenery n setting is perfect. There's also the smallest post office behind the church. It's very unique n interesting. Also a wishing well. I recommend visiting" Our Lady of the Pines" anytime ur in or goin thru the area.
