Big Spring Park

Pictures from a recent trip to the Von Braun Center!!! Very nice and huge event center. Updated parking, new Hampton Inn on the corner across from the event center. New restuarants and shopping.

This park is a fun place to take your little ones. It has a playground, and a nice picnic area! The pond needs tending to, as there used to be lots of pretty Koi in it. Hoping they'll try and restore it eventually! Otherwise, just a nice family, and pet, friendly park to visit on a nice day! :)

My husband and I have always loved taking our boys to the Duck Park. Our oldest is 11 and our youngest is 3. We love that the money paid to get food for the animals good back into the park. My husband grew up in Limestone County and has come to the park since he was a child too. I fell in love with it the first time he brought us 11 years ago. Very beautiful.

Great place for a stroll. Check out the pond and the pickleball courts. See the decorated trees during December!

Beautiful park, but not a place for dogs because of the ducks. Also, watched a child (under parental supervision) take a duckling from its family and place it in the water alone. Ducklings do not need to be without their mother. We were unable to save the baby. A beautiful place, but please be respectful of the ducks.

I enjoy this park very much. I wish there were a few more tables to sit at, especially under shady trees. There are lots of waterfowl at this park, so don't let your kids run around barefoot, and even flip-flops are probably not a good idea.

Its family friendly, live animals that interact with u. 3 tennis courts, big pond, with fountain. And Ducks, swans, geese u can feed. (They like bread, alot)

My boys are almost too big and unimpressed, but we still had fun visiting the Super Heros one more time! And getting Ice Cream!

Everything was really cleaned up, but my grandchildren really missed the ducks.

Nice little park near old downtown Athens. Good place for a picnic. Lots of old historic home in walking distance shaded by old growth trees. The park has a coverd pavilion and a nice play area for the children. Come visit when you are near by.

Beautiful place to sit & reflect, feed the ducks & have a picnic! Please don't litter & don't allow your children to chase or harass the ducks.

Clean place, nice to have picnic and get together with family, nice place to walk with your dog. Playground is clean, I see some children and their family. I recommend for everyone.

Eli's Block Party Superhero Day was a blast! We had so much fun supporting this great cause!

Went to the wrong Big Spring park. I was supposed to be in Huntsville, but this was a beautiful small park. Walked my dog for a while.

Excellent place for a stroll, picnic. and live music during the summer.

Me & my brother checked out the park & seeing the tinsel trail of Christmas trees display for the first time in Athens, AL.

We love this park! We always feed the ducks!
