Best RV/Camper repair experience I have ever had. To be honest, that's not much of a compliment, but these guys are truly top notch. Long story short, they replaced an area of my roof (Found another area I was unaware of... the camper is 1 year old) and did Flex Armor. I could not be happier with them. Diligent and trustworthy. Highly recommend.

We had such a wonderful experience with AMU! Our AC in our campervan went out, and we called two local companies near Tuscaloosa who service RV's, and the other one never returned our call. AMU was super friendly, quick to respond and swiftly helped us tackle the problem we were having. They inspected our unit, which needed to be replaced. It was ordered, replaced, and back to us in a quick timeframe. The workmanship was excellent, and we are excited to get on the road again! We highly recommend using them for your RV or camper repairs.

This shop went above and beyond to get me the proper information for my to do some repairs myself and save money in the process. Although this shop did repairs on my camper, they were honest and willing to help me with what I needed to perform proper DIY routine maintenance. They gave me invaluable knowledge to help me be a better Rv owner. I cannot thank them enough. The from staff, Ms. Tiffany, was pleasant and knowledgeable on what I needed to order for parts on my DIY jobs. Tommy, Chuck and Matthew took time with me for tips on how to better perform my own maintenance. I will keep coming back to these folks for as long as they are in business. I know this must be why they are always busy as there is not a “slow season” in this small town shop.

High winds ripped my awning canvas and we also had electrical issues. Tiffany, Chuck, Mathew and the entire group took care of our needs in a professional and helpful manner. I would highly recommend this business for all your RV needs.

When the alternator suddenly went out on our 1996 Beaver Patriot RV and we found ourselves broken down at a rest stop in Alabama, we looked online for a local mechanic. AMU had 5 star reviews so we contacted them first. They were tied up with other repairs and couldn’t get to us as quickly as we needed so he referred another mobile mechanic to come immediately to our rescue. His referral contact was excellent and reasonable and got us up and running within a couple of hours. However we found that we had another unrelated issue with the jacks that needed immediate attention before we could continue our journey. Tommy, the owner of AMU, invited us to overnight at his shop with full hookups so they could work on the RV. It was late on a Saturday night so they invited us to a cook out with them and their friends. They filled our propane tanks, worked on our RV, got everything repaired, fed us delicious BBQ ribs invited us to play cards with them, and came on Sunday morning to send us on our way. They weren’t even going to charge us for the repairs but my husband insisted on paying them. We’ve never had a business owner treat us like family before. I feel like we’ve made forever friends. We will stop at AMU every time we are in AL just to say hi. The world needs more people like Tommy and his amazing crew.

Passing through Mobile, AL our bedroom slide would not function. Luckily we found the part but no one available within an hour’s drive could fit us in to replace the part for a month! Looked for someone to install it along our travel route and were lucky enough to find AMU RV Repair...and with good reviews!. I called, explained our issue and when we’d be through his area. Tommy said it would be no problem and we scheduled to come in the morning after our arrival. We actually made good time and arrived the day before. Called him about 45 minutes out and before I could even finish asking if we could come early, he told me to come on in! Once we got there he got his guys right on it. We were at our campsite with the bedroom slide working that night! Highly recommend them and their services!

I am a new RV owner and just want to echo many of the compliments about Tommy and Tiffany. I had a few things that needed repairing and when I went to pick it up, Tommy answered all my questions and even did a walk through orientation for me. They have a computerized register where they log your repair issues and provide you with an itemized receipt when done. If you have RV service needs, I would highly recommend these fine folks. 👍🏻

We had bought an older Class A RV that needed repairs. Tommy, Chuck and all the people at AMU took great care of us and all the repairs needed. Treated us like family. I would confidently recommend this business to anyone needed repairs. A special thanks to Chuck for all he did for us.

We had a new Flex Armor roof put on our 5th wheel June 2022. So far very happy. Patient with all my questions..completed the work as scheduled..price was as quoted. Would recommend Flex Armor for anybody and would recommend AMU Services to do it.

AMU is now my personal RV service location! After over $1000, two weeks and lots of attitude, with another RV "repair" facility in Tuscaloosa, my RV still had starting issues. We were preparing for a cross-country trip and didn't feel comfortable with the possibility of having to jump it every day so we called them on Tuesday morning (the day we were supposed to leave) and Tommy told us to bring it down and he would take a look at it right away. (The other facility had a 3 week wait and then kept it another 2 weeks to "repair" it.) Tommy and Chuck spent several hours in the blistering Alabama heat trying desperately to find the source of the problem. We decided to leave them to work in peace and opted to leave the next day so that they would not feel rushed. That afternoon Tommy called to say that they had found the issue and it had nothing to do with the expensive circuit panel that had been installed. It was a short in the system due to improper installation of the panel without the necessary bushing to prevent the metal on metal shorting. Long story, but after several hours and only $200 we were on our way. We are currently in Texas working our way to California and have not had a single issue since. When we return, we will be going back to have them show us more things on the RV. This is our first and we have so much to learn. They said they are even considering holding seminars. We would love for that to happen! Thank you Tommy and Chuck! You guys are the best!

My friend and I were on a month long RV trip when we started to have AC issues. We called AMU and Tiffany answered the phone and was all about helping us. She even mentioned that someone could stay late to help us if we arrived after 5:00. In no time they has us on our way. They run a fantastic operation for RV repair and we’re so kind and understanding to us. They also gave us some much needed education on our new RV. Thanks again to Tiffany, Chuck and Brad and all the staff and owners.

I was traveling thru and needed a place to stay. He graciously hooked me up to electricity and offered a safe place for the night. He straightened the steps to my travel trailer that got bent. He didn't charge me a dime... Thank you, thank you!! I highly recommend his service..

I could not be happier with the service we received! We were on the road and had slide issues, we got the slide pushed in and headed to AMU and they welcomed us right in. Had our camper backed in to one of their shops in minutes of arrival and had our slide diagnosed and repaired in no time at all. We also needed our front jack gear box replaced and they repaired it also. We were back on the road in no time and the price was well under what I expected. I give them 5 stars for service, knowledge, kindness, above and beyond education. If you need service this is the place to go.

I called AMU in the morning to see if I could bring my rig in, my fridge had stopped working suddenly. They got me in as soon as I showed up, found a leak, fixed a corroded wire deep in the underbelly that caused the fridge problem, found a second grey tank I didn’t know I even had (it’s a new to me, but used travel trailer and the tank didn’t have a handle), emptied my tanks, fixed some other smaller (leaky) issues we had found on our maiden voyage, and got me right back out. Very quick, efficient, friendly. I can’t say enough good things about these guys. Thanks again for the great service! I should add, I also purchased a 30-50 amp connection from them when we first arrived in Alabama. I met one of the owners at the hardware store down the street, he called the other to tell him I was coming and what I would need, it was waiting for me and cheaper than I had found it anywhere else, not too mention much closer. Call them with all your RV needs, very helpful!

We had a nearly catastrophic failure with an RV we just bought and were driving home from Texas to Georgia. The bolts holding the generator in place rusted through the floor because of a long time leak in the fresh water tank. We would have been stranded but the guys from AMU got us in, drained and removed the tank, fabricated a steel plate for under the tank, bolted the generator in place, fixed the leak in the tank, and reinstalled everything!! Amazing service and price!!!

They took care of our damaged RV roof and did an outstanding job for a very reasonable price. Tommy and his staff are first class. I highly recommend them and if I ever need additional repairs I will bring the RV to them.

Chuck went above and beyond to help me any family out. Our ac went out while we were camping at Roebuck. He came out to the campsite, on a Saturday, and was able to get it working again. He saved the day because if we couldn’t get it working, we would’ve had to go home. I highly recommend AMU to everyone who has a problem with their camper!

We were heading south on Hwy 69 with brakes dragging and smoking, my husband turned into AMU just a few minutes before 5:00PM. Tommy got right on it, found the problem, ordered the part, and the next afternoon, a brutally hot afternoon, it was all together for us.
You may arrive in the yard a stranger, however, I assure you, you won’t leave as one! We happened to arrive on a Tuesday, Taco Tuesday at a local restaurant, and were invited to join Tommy, Nicki, and the crew for dinner.
We had a great time, and will certainly be returning for any RV needs, as well as popping in for Taco Tuesday one of these days!

Our Mercedes RV needed immediate repair. AMU provided excellent service and took care of that issue in addition to other problems. Tommy and Chuck took great care of us by providing the most personable RV service of any shop we have ever used.
