Chopper's Ol' School BBQ

This is a very popular BBQ place here in daleville, Alabama. The BBQ is amazing, I had brisket burnt ends and sausage with their Carolina reaper sauce. Both were amazing. The staff was a delight to interact with as well. The bathrooms are clean and well maintained. For dessert I had the banana pudding which was PERFECT.

This is hands down the best barbecue anywhere even remotely near the Fort Rucker area, not only is the food savory and freshly made but the staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. Their sandwiches and sauces are out of this world but to say the brisket is smoked to perfection is an absolute understatement! You really can't ask for a better place to hold a hail and farewell or similar event with its catering and own separate area designated exactly for that. Spread the word and help support this amazing local, veteran owned and family run business.

Great smoke flavor! Mango habenero is not very spicy but has a lot of flavor. Definitely will return. Baked beans had a lot of meat in them. Very good food!

This place is a classic BBQ joint, great prices and even better food. It moved a few years ago off the main street in Daleville but the food is better than ever.

This place is incredibly good! The Betsy Sue sandwich is my go-to meal, it is a giant, delicious mountain of perfectly smoked meats. They have great homemade sauces, the Devil’s Spit is my favorite barbecue sauce I’ve ever had. The owner and his family are good people too!

Hidden in Daleville off of Donnell Blvd, a small front space turns into a long walk to the order desk for a melt in your mouth BBQ: sandwich, filled baked potatoe or massive plate lunch. Many homemade sauces to choose from. I like the Carolina and Jarbenero best! So much food you have lunch for 2 days. We are fortunate to have in Daleville so many local restaurants that feed us well at a great price and help out the community. Choppers is infamous for their Turkey Day meal for all for free (they do take donations from the more fortunate)! God Bless You Choppers Bbq!

Went here the first time for lunch and wow it was delicious and the portions are HUGE. Can’t believe it took me this long to try this place. They do so much for the military and community, which is another bonus on top of the amazing food they serve

Great food, service, and prices :) Been there twice now and enjoyed both experiences. Both times the staff was friendly and fast. There is tons of tables for indoor dining and it appears they have events with live music. The prices are really good and they give you tons of food. I had a sandwich, which was almost too large. They have a variety of sauces, of which I have tried three. All great and distinct. The meat is flavorful; personally I like the sausage the best, the pulled pork is good, and the brisket is cooked well but doesn't have the flavor I am used to (I am from TX where brisket is BBQ). The baked beans are great and the mac and cheese is a little bland. Lastly, the lemonade seemed a little watered down. Overall one of the best BBQ places I have been too and definitely the best in the area. I will be going back again.

Delicious food! The meat has a great smokey flavor. The portions are great for the price. They also have exceptional customer service. My meat was a bit dry and they apologized greatly, made me a new sandwich and gave me a banana pudding on the house. The sandwiches were delicious and they went above and beyond to make sure I was happy. We love the food here! We always look forward to coming and bringing our friends and family.

Amazing customer service! I called in the order and I guess at the same time my boyfriend was calling in while on the way there. When I hung up he called me and said the phone line was busy, but they quickly called him back and was like “Hey! We saw where we missed a call from you and was calling back!” Me and my boyfriend were shocked because we haven’t seen service like that before and it was so nice that they called him! He was just going to call them and let them know how far away he was Incase they wondered how long it’ll take. The BBQ was amazing and reasonably priced. I loved the baked beans but wasn’t a big fan of the Mac-n-cheese but that’s okay! I told my friends and family about this little restaurant. We’ll definitely be coming back! ☺

The most awesome Thanksgiving meal! I bet they fed 300-500 people! No waiting and the service was outstanding. The food was home cooked and absolutely delicious! As good as my moms! There was also probably 20 desserts to choose from! Thank you choppers!

When you come in for ribs, chicken or BBQ it is all excellent! We eat there often.

Just tried this place yesterday in search of our new go to area for amazing BBQ, not only did we find amazing BBQ but we had the privilege to meet Chris, his wife and the rest of the staff at Choppers all of whom were very kind and hospitable people. Our order consisted of just about everything on the menu all of which was amazing! My wife and I loved the wide variety of sauces as well. Would and will recommend to anyone looking for great food and hospitality.

Been coming here for years, best BBQ around. Loaded baked potato is my personal favorite but I’ve never had anything bad. Building is huge, they’ve hosted a few parties for us. Owners are great folks that support the local community.

I came down to Fort Rucker for a visit to see the guy I am dating. We came to Choppers for lunch. The way he described the restaurant and its location to me, I was not expecting much but let me tell you! The food was amazing. You get a lot for what you pay for. I got a brisket sandwich and I had enough left over for lunch the next day. He ordered a brisket plate with two sides. He told me the Mac + Cheese was spicy, I tried it an it was fantastic. He also got beans, I tried them they had the same kick.
When I go back to Ft Rucker, I will be making a trip to Choppers.

Amazing food, service and prices!! Been here for my first time today and fell in love with the food!! Prices are really good and they give you tons of food for the cost!! Had the BBQ chicken sandwich with the smoked macaroni and cheese with some banana pudding!! All of it was delicious!! Will come back again for sure!!

I have eaten at this local mom and pop a couple of times. I have had the pulled pork and the stuffed baked potato. The have a great variety of sauces. My friend had the brisket and said it was the best he had ever tasted. The sides are great! Smoked Baked Beans and Smoked Mac and Cheese are great!! Give this little local mom and pop a try. They have a little something for everyone!
