I had a wonderful cup of coffee in their shop. Absolutely LOVE the atmosphere and friendly, knowledgeable staff. (The owner was there and came over and talked!) Wonderful baked goods too! I want to come back and be a part of their Irish Sessions, (which take place twice a month on Sundays, most of the year!) It may not be on your list of places to travel too, but it was a lovely place to find and a great destination for book lovers and coffee fanatics to check out!

I walked in on a Friday evening to a small group playing board games at some of the tables. It looked very fun and I wanted to join! Then there is the nice fireplace with chairs all around and that’s just the coffee shop. You walk into the next room and it’s the wonderful bookstore. There is a nice children’s section with lots of books. I could spend hours in this place. The owner was super nice and I enjoyed talking to her several times.

Adorable new bookstore with friendly management. The type of place where you could get caught up in the magical world of books and rest from the stress of life. Having no other bookstores in the surrounding communities, I was delighted to discover its existence. I felt welcomed and valued. Highly recommend.

Ballyhoo Books brings so much to the Alma community. The recent addition of the Brew shop is like a perfectly placed 'cherry on top', providing delicious coffee and tea options, along with delightful treats all at very reasonable prices. The Brew maintains a very relaxing vibe with exceptionally friendly service. It's the perfect spot to meet up with friends, family and colleagues.

A great selection of books for a wide range of people. They also offer quality café products. The staff is very friendly and pleasant to have a conversation with.

Do you need a gift idea for someone? Buy them a book or give them a gift card to Ballyhoo so them can pick one out.

Ballyhoo Books & Brew has been a favorite of mine since the book side opened, and that love has only grown with the opening of the brew side. The owner, Dawn, is wonderful, as are the staff. I love the community being created here and enjoy working from the café, while other groups gather for various meetings. On the brew side, I've tried lattes, brewed coffee, bakery items, and toasts. All have been delicious. I love the simple menu with focus on quality ingredients. The toasts are thick slices of great bread; enough to share! Lastly, I appreciate the use of eco-friendly materials by the café. I recommend Ballyhoo Books & Brew to anyone looking for a unique gift, a nice space to enjoy a few hours, or a quick cup of coffee and snack.

Good selection and a cute corner with kids books. Both people working were welcoming and friendly with myself and my 2 year old son. We'll definitely be back.

One of the best (if not the best) book stores I've ever been to. Kid friendly, has a section dedicated to children's books and a little hide out for them. Will spark any kids imagination. Beautiful painted walls and color themes. Up to date books with current events. And most importantly people with a passion for books! You can tell they care a great amount. Not to mention you can find a perfect book for you regardless of if you're a bookworm or not. Always greeted with a welcome. Super modern and hip you'll enjoy it.

Very cozy small-town bookstore located in downtown! Within walking distance from resturants and other shopping. Little bit of everything to chose from and willing to order if they don't have it on hand. Now includes a coffee shop addition to the store! An excellent menu of drinks and snacks! I can highly recommend the wildberry smoothie!

The coffee was excellent- we ordered a Café au lait, cappuccino, and hot chocolate. Everyone loved what they got. We also ordered toast with Nutella, and Jane Austen. Delish. This place is just as cozy and welcoming as the bookstore. I personally appreciate all the little Easter Eggs of intentionality (the Wifi password 😉) that shows the love and passion poured into this place.
