El Fogon Authentic Mexican Grill

Right by Oakland University on Walton Road. Got the veggie California burrito. Just superb! Perfect blend of roasted veggies, refried beans, rice, guacamole, cheese, lettuce and tomatoes. They brought out a complimentary plate of nachos, which were a delight. Two options for salsa; I mixed the two for a perfect balance. And they give a 10% discount for OU students! The atmosphere is also great, with traditional Mexican music in the background.

The asada tacos, steak fries, and sizzling fajitas are yummy. The salsas are good too!

Excellent authentic Mexican. Not a lot of seating if looking to dine in. The Chorizo was delicious, and the Carnitas with Green sauce wasn't overly spicy. The red had some kick to it. Rice and beans with, did very well. The Jamaica (drink) was excellent. Good service and friendly staff.

The food here is delicious and great value. The service is excellent and fast. I recommend this place over chipotle anyday. I always get street tacos. They have a wide variety of meat options. The complementary chips and two salsas are great to start the meal.

I've ordered from here several times now and they never disappoint. Very authentic, and down to the rice and beans, everything is so delicious!! Highly recommend the birria, steak burrito, and the queso. :)

The food here is such great authentic Mexican food! The quesabirria tacos and the chips and salsa are my absolutely favorite thing on the menu. Definitely try the tres leches cake as well!

I went to El Fogon after seeing a Groupon deal. It was great! Very close to authentic Mexican tacos. Salsa verde is amazing!
I would definitely go back & try different things.

First visit. Large portions of amazingly good food and authentic flavors. The queso fundido was the best I've had. We'll be back to eat there again.

I had the pleasure of trying El Fogon for the first time tonight, and I must say, it was an great experience. The food tasted incredibly fresh and left a lasting impression. We ordered the asada tacos and chicken flautas, both of which were delicious. However, the real highlight of the meal was the outstanding flavor of the refried beans, which truly stole the show. Overall, I highly recommend El Fogon for its exceptional quality and flavorful offerings.

Ordered a Mexican burrito for lunch and it was the best burrito I've had in my life. I've been dreaming about it every since and will be a regular customer even if the quality isn't the same afterwards due to my first experience being so good. I will take pictures next time but you must try for yourself

I live in the Southwest and was pleasantly surprised at the great, authentic Mexican food served at El Fogon. It's a very laid back hole in the wall sort of place with a high volume of take out orders because the food is so good. Definitely worth stopping by for a casual sit down or take out meal!

Overall one of my favorite places to get tacos. Service is quick and friendly, and prices are reasonable! If they served beer here I probably would never leave!

We only found this place since our "go-to" place on this side of town was closed. I am glad it was!
The tacos are amazing! The Al Pastor was so flavorful, soft, and juicy. I wanted more, but reached my limit at four. The pork rind tacos were something a little different, but we enjoyed them, especially with some of the green salsa.
The skirt steak dinner was also one of the best we have ever had at a restaurant. Perfectly seasoned and very tender.
We can't wait to come back to this side of town so we can have tacos here again!
