This is sch a nicely renovated historic building. The atmosphere is friendly and inviting. The food was presented beautifully and was plentiful. Our bill was reasonable, and the waitress was friendly and informative without being intrusive. They offer drink specials and have live music on occasion. It's really a nice place to frequent.

Had the extreme pleasure of visiting The Creek House Grill while in the area visiting friends.
Do NOT pass this place up. The people and the atmosphere is amazing. I felt like a regular and it was my first time here.

Food is also super amazing! I think the best part was the Brian!
He made sure our meals were PERFECT and treated us like family. He makes you feel like you have known him for years. He made this visit one of the best experiences my husband and I ever had.

Definitely will return again!

My favorite thing was the potato pancakes with applesauce and sour cream. I can't tell you how delicious they were! My favorite thing to have aten in a long time and only $10! The service was fabulous, the atmosphere was clean, busy, and farmhouse fancy. I highly recommend!

Delicious food and delightful staff! Highly recommend the pork chop and brick chicken.

Drinks are also very good. Hot spiked apple cider and river water were our most favorite!

What did it for me was Brian Katzmeir hes a grill cook. Not only did he make sure my food needs were met, he didn’t seem to care that I had special requests for my dietary needs. Brian is amazing at his job and while I won’t be able to frequent this place, I am hoping that when I do come back he is still there! Kudos to you Brian!!!

We were visiting the town and some locals recommended that we stop in and try the buttermilk fried chicken sandwich. So we did! Huge portions. Fantastic flavor. Great fries. And that white sauce! Yum! We also had the brick chicken dinner and veggie burger. Then we finished off with the best cheese cake ever and bread pudding. Everything is made from scratch and delicious. Service is great too. We will be back.

This spot has taken some years to get its legs again after Matthew’s closed. But I think they now have a winning formula for solid tasty food, reasonable prices and nice sized portions.

Have been a few times in the last several weeks. Good local beer on tap for $7/pint. Good spirit collection and decent drinks in the $10 range. I had chicken each time (under a brick and also the breast. Each time it was far better than average - moist and flavorful. I also appreciate the food is cooked to order, unlike so many places these days where meals are pre-cooked and then heated.

Certainly among the top places around Callicoon food-wise.

Wonderful Dinner and Experience with our family of Five at the Creek House! Excellent service and delicious entrees all around! All of our entrees were delicious! The baked clams, house special corned beef and cabbage and the bourbon pudding were top notch! 5 stars all around!

My sister and I came in for a quick bite before a concert we were seeing nearby at Bethel Woods. The atmosphere is so cozy and we were immediately greeted by a friendly bartender and hostess. We decided to sit outside which was lovely and our hostess asked if we were going to the concert. I thought that was so considerate, and she advised we had plenty of time but just don’t order the pork chop because it takes longer lol. Super helpful. We had such a hard time deciding on what to order since everything looked incredible. Our server was so attentive and on top of everything. We wound up ordering the flank stank and the salmon and sharing. Both were amazing…but the best part was the fresh tomato salad that was served with the steak (which I found out were local and sourced at the farmers market across the street…and they did not disappoint), as well as the fresh greens and the perfectly cooked braised kale. The flavors and quality of the food were outstanding and the service and atmosphere were perfect. We both said that we’d make the drive up to eat here again even if there was no show after. It was absolutely lovely and I highly recommend stopping in.

We vacation annually in the area. This is the best meal we’ve had in Callicoon. Hands down. Local ingredients and beers. Fair prices. Kind staff and Family friendly. Call ahead! We had the braised beef short ribs and Brick chicken. Kids food was delicious too. Great to experience what the area has to offer thru this nice establishment. Kudos! -Santi J

Another outstanding meal! My first brunch at The Creek House Grill. While my companions went the traditional Eggs Benedict route, I decided to try the Grits with Shrimp and Sausage and I’m sooo glad I did! Dining on the deck under a huge walnut tree just made the experience all the more pleasant.

Amazing food, excellent service and a beautiful atmosphere! Staff was attentive, friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. We visit the area 2x per year and will most definitely be back! Only picture I took was of my dessert but the presentation of the main food entrees were just as beautiful!

Our family loves going to the Creek House when we are in the area (sometimes more than one night!). The food is always delicious. (Try the pork chop, seriously) Recently we got to enjoy their Oktoberfest menu and both the Sauerbraten and the Pork Schnitzel were delicious.

And then there's the service and atmosphere....Karen (owner and wife of chef owner John) always makes you feel welcome and part of the family. All the servers, in fact, have been personable and attentive.

If you are in Callicoon, you won't regret stopping in. And if you do, don't forget the bread pudding for dessert!

It was our first visit to The Creek House Grill. We were greeted by the owner, Karen . It was so kind of her to find us a table on a busy Saturday night when we didn't have a reservation. The atmosphere is friendly and warm. The potato pancake appetizer was delicious!
For our meal, both my husband and I ordered the bratwurst, sauerkraut & German potato salad from the Octoberfest menu. It was fantastic! Drinks from the bar were great too. If you are looking for great food & drinks with nice atmosphere you won't be disappointed.

Excellent experience here at the Creek House Grill. The food was delicious and the service was just as wonderful. We had passed this place a few times, and finally got the chance to give it a try, and glad we did! The menu is smaller, but everything on there is worth a try! It also rotates out daily, which is exciting because it makes every visit a new experience. My father-in-law got the pork chop and said it was the best chop he's had. The potato pancakes starter was amazing and the rice and bean burger is homemade and much lighter than you'd expect. Great for the vegetarians! We also got the chance to chat with the owners, very nice people! If you're in the area, I would highly suggest giving this place a try. I doubt you'll be disappointed.

Excellent wait staff. Very friendly and well informed. Onion soup was delicious. Very good umami. Barbeque sandwich was good but the hand cut french fries were amazing. Going back for the mussels. Menu changes often, which is terrific.
