Ideal Beach Resort

The staff make this place so special. It's full of little details and events that make your stay better than expected. Our kids love the ice cream store, mini golf, playground, and activity center. The rooms have plenty of space. The proximity to the beach is unbeatable. We love this place!

We had a large group that stayed at 3 condos at Ideal Beach Resort the first week of June. The condos we stayed in (#120, 127, and 142) had been nicely updated and the kitchens were fully stocked with appliances and pans. Condo 120 was on the bottom floor with a walk out patio which was so nice for eating outside at picnic tables. The other condos were on the 2nd and 3rd floors and there were walk-out balconies. There were propane grills that you could rent for $5 which we used and were great. There were also fire pits on the beach and one near the grills that we used for evening campfires. The lake was quite cold this time of year but we really enjoyed the pool and hot tub. The amenities were great. Lots of activities that you could rent at the store—pickle ball, volleyball, miniature golf, etc. The store did close at 6 pm each evening so be sure to get there before they close. We had a wonderful time and felt very safe since the resort has a gated entrance that can only be opened with a badge. We would definitely stay here again!

This is our 3rd year staying here for our annual Bear Lake trip. We like that we can walk down to the lake. This means the whole group doesn't need to stay together the whole time. The beach here has lots of great skipping rocks.

It's one of our favorite places to go on vacation.
The employees are so nice and make the trip that much better. We love all the activities they do.

So much to do and lots of fun. Their beach are very well kept up. They need to remodel the pool bathrooms (mens showers don’t even work).

Loved our beautiful boutique quality condo (unit 260)! The renovations by the private owner are the best I've seen. The resort as a whole has improved a great deal over the last 45 years and the water is still as blue!

Ideal Beach Resort is absolutely beautiful.. plenty of fun stuff to keep kids busy and the beach is just a short walk away.. Priscilla and the crew up at the store are fantastic! They are always smiling and helpful.. the handmade items in the store are fairly priced and absolutely adorable! The stuffed animals are so cute and well made and the hoodies/ t-shirts are amazing souvenirs! Would 100% recommend ideal Beach Resort for a weekend get away!

We’ve been coming to Ideal Beach for years and have always had a good time. I can tell that the staff is really working hard to help people have a good time. The manager of the store is especially guest-focused. We enjoyed the lighting at the midnight mini golf activity, on-site watercraft rentals, giant chess, ping pong, excursion to Pickleville Playhouse.
My only suggestion is for those of us who swim for exercise, it would be nice to open the pool earlier than 10 AM. Who knows, they may have made accommodations if I had asked.

Steve the manager and his crew are amazing! They always do an amazing job. We love bingo! We love the ice cream rocks. We love mini golf! And we really love Steve helping us with our sail boats this year. I'm sure the staff got tired of all the complaints about the pool being closed but our family totally understand. Not much Ideal Beach could have done. This place is our favorite place on Earth!

Thus is a wonderful place for a family reunion. The pool is warm year round and there is a large hot tub. A huge grassy area for playing games. Mini golf, tennis courts (indoor and outdoor), and a bunch of other stuff to do even if it's too cold for boating on the lake.

First time at Bear Lake for a Family Reunion with 44 people over the week of the 24th of July (state holiday). Sometimes we felt like we were the only people there because of all the space! Loved the grassy area where we set up a table and camp chairs for our evening meals and activities together. Lots for all age groups to do. Very safe and clean. Most of us wore water shoes as the beach isn't soft sand but still fun for kids to build sand castles. Only drawback was the rooms were not air conditioned so the first night some folks were very hot. They bought fans the next day and things were better! No bugs. We set our canopy up at around 7:00 each morning - plenty of space on the beach for everyone. Some folks didn't follow the policy of taking down their canopy structures at the end of the day:( We loved our much anticipated week - great time, happy memories! And the kids LOVED hunting for the ice cream rocks! Thanks!

My family has a time share here and we've been visiting for years. It's been a very fun tradition and we have made a lot of good memories here as the kids have grown. There are tons of fun activities such as miniature golf, biking, swimming (both in the lake and at two swimming pools), playground, there's lots of lawn for the kids to run around on, they have had grills on the lawn to BBQ at. The beach is awesome. The view of the lake is great. I like to bring my metal detector and beach comb but mostly just find scrap and missing tent stakes. You can rent watercraft at the dock. The condo we stay at has been nicely remodeled to be more modern. It roomy, we currently have grandma here and my wife's brother and his family along with our two kids and it doesn't feel too crowded. I could go on and on but will just say Ideal Beach is awesome and would highly recommend.

My family has a timeshare here and has been a family tradition for well over 20 years. Always an enjoyable stay. We have the same two units each year, but other family has rented others, so I've seen inside many different units. All are nice and cozy with full kitchens. No in suite laundry, but there is a coin-op laundry on site. The private beach is nice, and has a launch point for boats. There is park further up the beach. There are two pools, one is more for the kids, but each has a sauna and hot tub. There are tennis courts. We always love playing the mini golf each year. The main outdoor grass areas are enourmous, so you can set up volleyball, croquet, etc with plenty of room for everyone. There is a convenience store that has most anything you might forget, as well as treats, ice cream, etc. There are bikes and such you can rent. We have always enjoyed Ideal Beach and hope to for years to come!

My family has a condo here and we come up most years, even if it is just for a day. The resort is well cared for, parking is reasonable, even when it is full to capacity. Multiple pools and hot tubs. The beach is clean and the playground is decent. The local store hides rocks every day throughout the resort, creating a fun game for the kids to hunt for one every day to earn a free ice cream cone!

The resort is kept so well! This year we noticed new siding on the condos. The lake is actually up in the marina and the store has been refurbished. We always enjoy our stay at Ideal Beach! The staff goes out of their way to make each year memorable with events and the occasional free food. This is a great place for my kids to run and play and my family to spend time together.

Its our favorite family vacation spot. We've had many family reunions here as well. The staff is friendly, bathrooms are clean and there are plenty of both free and low cost rental activities you can choose from that will chase any teenage bordom away. The kids love searching for ice cream rocks as well. We will be back many more times to come.

Great place to stay, no complaints or issues besides no ac in the rooms but it’s an older place. Glad it wasn’t too hot while we were there, it was nice and cool at night. Family goes to bear lake once a year as a tradition and it’s just always so beautiful 😍

Ideal Beach Resort is by far the best resort on Bear Lake and probably in all of Utah. The staff and management go above and beyond for all of their guests!! My family and I were very impressed with the cleanliness and friendliness while we were there! We recommend anyone and everyone to book your stay here. We know you will love it as much as we did! Thank you Ideal Beach! It truly is to most ideal place to be!

Excellent beach, fun pools. My family has been coming here every year since before I was born (32 years). Probably the highlight of my summers. Comfy condos, close to a lot of great hiking areas, and of course the lake is right outside your windows. Just remember to bring fans! Can get kinda warm in the summers.
