Bear Lake Overlook SR-89 Rest Area

A breathtaking view from here. Restrooms are available. They were even checking watercraft worthiness at this rest stop before people were going on down to the lake. The road is narrow and winding, please take your time and go slow. Let the view be seen only by those NOT driving. Stop here so everyone can enjoy the view!

It is a very beautiful place. And lots of snow, sad that there are so many new homes on the mountain.

Bathrooms are clean with extra TP in all the stalls. Great view and a lot of pamphlets available about the area. I love the flag flying over the rest area🇺🇸

Clean but odorous. The creek is so beautiful. Great place for a creekside lunch at the picnic tables or little walk to wake up those legs!!!

Very well kept and clean. Wonderful spot for a photo shoot or to just enjoy the amazing scenery. I love the information center with history of the area posted.

We stopped here when we were passing through the canyon just like we have 100’s times before but this time there’s still so much snow still there it’s crazy ! 😱🥶

Needs more toilet paper. Other than that, one of the most beautiful rest stops I have been to. The view is breathtaking.

Bear Lake is a very crowded place in the summer. Fishing, boating, swimming fun are all happening. The town wakes up for summer and restaurants sprout up and it's just plain crazy but fun.

A nice spot to overlook the whole bear lake. Tens of park space and a public restroom. There also is a shelf of flyers for traveling information.

Incredible view of Bear Lake and surrounding mountains. Very clean restrooms and several Porta potties for after hours. Plenty of parking. Wish they were all like this one.
