Sacred, Safe, and beautiful!

Warning! Do not rent from these money-hungry people. I recently rented one of their apartments in Sedona, AZ. When I arrived the place was filthy—the toilets stained, cobwebs everywhere, all cabinets caked with dust, wood stove full of ashes, baseboards and door sills caked with grime. Normally this wouldn't bother me so much, but after leaving the place overall much cleaner than I received it (granted I forgot to do the oven), they withheld $350 of the $500 refundable cleaning deposit. So the cleaning deposit is not intended that you leave premises as clean as you found it, but a method of coercion to get you to work for them for free, or perhaps simply an easy way for them to steal your money. To add insult to injury they charged me to repair wood-stove fire-bricks that were already broken when we moved in. They even pointed out to me that they were broken when I moved in and promised to fix them. I asked the caretaker, Jim, several times when he did he want to fix the fire bricks?, but he never got around to it. Then after I vacated they had the audacity to BILL ME TO FIX THESE SAME FIRE BRICKS THAT WERE ALREADY BROKEN. I was only there 7 months then they claimed that I stained the toilets so bad they had to replace one. I actually spent over 4 hours trying to scrub the stains out of one of them when I moved in but gave up they were so bad. My experience with GCCA is that they are lying, thieving rascals—the complete opposite of the "spiritual community" they claim to be.
While I was there one of their tractors rolled mysteriously into my van causing damage. When I brought this up to them, their answer was that they didn't own a tractor there, but they did agree to let me off my lease early. It's a red tractor parked at their property on 103 W. Los Amigos Lane in Sedona. It is owned by one of their officers, Sentria according to Jim the caretaker, but maybe she's not supposed to own private property so they refused to even acknowledge it's existence to me even after it damaged my van. My experience was that they showed no semblance of humanity, only callous greed. Before I moved in, they told me I could use root cellars to store 100 watermelons I had, but that was a big lie; they wouldn't even allow me to compost. I was threatened and bullied by the caretaker, Jim as soon as I arrived. "You weren't my choice" he said in a very unwelcoming tone. He left bricks on my porch, when I asked him to move them he threatened to retaliate for "stealing his bricks" again in a very mean tone. He yelled at my kids, hocked loogies at my wife and is a bona fide jerk that the GCCA's property guy, Sharu, just LOVEs for some reason. Probably because they really don't give a hoot about people in general. Stay clear of GCCA by all means. If you find yourself wanting to rent from them, take photo evidence of every corner of the premises upon moving in to prepare yourself for the theft of your cleaning deposit and to be charged unfairly to pay for their own property maintenance. They stipulated on my lease that I would have to "share the laundry room" (with caretaker Jim) but failed to mention that I would also be paying electricity and gas for his use of laundry room. As far as landlords are concerned, and I'm 55 years old and seen a lot of them, GCCA rate among the very worst of the worst. In my opinion, their "commune members" who are walled up in a compound in Tucomacori, AZ after having forfeited to the GCCA all of their private property are nothing more than slaves, and they treat tenants the same way. In my opinion, they are certainly NOT good Samaritans and are more interested in wrenching every penny they can from normal unsuspecting people with which to buy up multi-million dollar estates that they rent to elitists, than doing any true spiritual work. If I could rate them minus 10 instead of 1, I would have.

Fanatic religious group! All positive reviews are from brainwashed members. Watch out! I have many personal experiences with this organisation.
