Habanero's Mexican Restaurant - Tubac Arizona

Very tasty and affordable margaritas of all flavors, I had tamarindo and loved it. I also had a cup of their birria soup and it was super yum, we ordered the queso fundido with mushrooms, also super super good. Highly recommend. They have a cute patio and the staff is really nice.

Love this place. A simple but comfortable atmosphere, great Mexican food and Margarittas, and excellent friendly service. We live in the area and keep coming back.

I usually can tell if the refried beans are good the food is usually good. Habanero's were like Nana's. I had the combo Fajitas and a Strawberry Margarita and they were totally amazing. Habanero's Chef's Kiss all the way! 😘😃

Visiting nogales and stopped for some great food , and tamarindo 🍹 margarita are awesome. Very quiet and good atmosphere. Must try 😋

Extra good food from "Way South" Arizona. Tubac. Excellent meals. Excellent service. Prices about what you'd expect. We sat outside on a 75° day. Then we wandered through the shops in this artist-in-residence community.
A year later, we're back after enduring a Covid year without being able to come here. It's just as good as last year. Just a tad slow - short-staffed.

Brian, the bartender, was really friendly and helpful. Made my whole team feel welcomed despite us being from out of town. The food was good, the drinks were great and the service was better!

Everything was delicious!! (We shared our food lol) The drafts were nice and cold, even down to the salsa with chips at the beginning was perfect. Service was excellent as well 💯

We just had apps and a beer but they were great. Don't sleep on the toritos. They were🔥! Delicious!

Home made flour tortillas on the cheese crisp -- fabulous --
Toritos are truly decadent, fabulous & creative.
Calimari was overcooked.
Service was great, prices good, also good decor/ ambiance.

Fabulous lunch local! Service was timely & polite. Many menu options and the food was over the top! Highly suggested!!! My Coconut Citrus Salad was MUY BUENO!

This restaurant has amazing food and their mole is top notch. I ordered the enmoladas. They are chicken enchiladas with mole sauce. So fresh and the sauce has the perfect mix of peppers and chocolate. They even sold me a container of sauce so I can make some at home.

We live 60 miles away but can always justify a trip to Tubac and Habaneros. You need to go eat there now!

BF and I came here after a 6 mile hike today and loved it! Service was good. Friendly staff. Food presentation isn't important to me but it looked amazing and tasted great too. Got the chicken tostada's with fresh avocado, tomatoes, and goat cheese--only ate one because it was so filling. Chips and salsa were good too. Will definitely be back.

I came in and grabbed a quick taco for the road, the service was pretty quick and very friendly.

First of all, I get a kick out of people who write reviews because of the slow time to get their stuff. We were in there yesterday and there were only two front of the kitchen staff working, the two of them were making drinks, taking orders, cashier, and bussing tables. I'm guessing it wasn't their doing that there were only two of them working. I'm guessing that like most every other place, Habanero's is struggling to find people willing to work. If you have a complaint about the food, take it up with them. If you have a complaint about the wait time, fill out an application or refer a friend to work there. Yesterday, three different people made a fuss and two of them were demanding refunds for their entire tab because of slow service. We did wait a few minutes, sure, but the staff were very friendly and apologetic for making us wait.

Sunday about 1 PM, we drove by, saw the patio, all else was crazy busy so we stopped in with our 2 small dogs and settled outside on the patio, in really comfortable chairs. Eating there was a pleasure. The margaritas were delicious, salsa spicy, and my tortilla soup with chicken was delicious. I do have to say I've had better chips, the burrito was ok, but the service and atmosphere were perfect for a lazy Sunday afternoon. We will be back!
Changing my review due to the new manager, a young very sour young girl. Food still ok, good luck with her. The owner should take note…she is NO help to your business

Good Mexican restaurant and reasonable prices. The Cheese Crisp with cochinita pabil (Yucatan style BBQ pork) is fantastic. A little short staffed so go when you have time to enjoy the food
