US Border Patrol Checkpoint

I got thru pretty fast!

All of the agents are polite, professional and have a job to do so give them a break and stop harassing them! I'm sure that they are tired of hearing "are you detaining me" come on people, GIVE THEM A BREAK!.,
The lines move faster than I would expect and would even faster if you would just answer the questions politely and truthfully. I think that they should be allowed to be more invasive and permitted to ticket people for being idiots and holding up the lines.

I go through this check point often and look forward to seeing the patrol each time as they are courteous, yet professional. Each day is a potential risk for these men and women who provide our country with extra safety measures.

Spending some time in Tubac going out dayhiking. Had been avoiding the I-19 No checkpoint because I has read some pretty negative things about it in AZ newspaper articles. (We live in MA and have experience with the Canadian border and have no complaints).

But today it would take an extra hour or more to avoid it so we just bit the bullet to get to Buenos Aires National Wildlife area.

Surprisingly the checkpoint was uneventful and the agents professional & pleasant and totally not the bullying jerks I had read about. I might have attributed it to me being a white woman traveling with the white husband but the car in front of me was from Mexico and the people next to us were Hispanic and their experiences appeared identical. I saw no evidence of racial profiling. Instead I saw professional agents who obviously knew what they were looking for and did not in any way impede legitimate travel.

Once off the highway there was a second checkpoint where we had the same experience. Also saw many, many border patrol trucks both stationary and traveling. They were all unfailingly friendly and focused on the job at hand which was clearly NOT to bother citizens and legitimate visitors.

To sum up, Kudos to our Border Patrol agents!

A minor inconvienence with traffic but the officer was friendly.

These men and women face some of the same dangers as our armed forces. You never know who crossed illegally or what they brought with them. US Border Patrol has my gratitude and respect.

Going through was a breeze, didn't even have to come to a complete stop. 2 car lanes, a few (drug?) sniffing dogs, a lot of police vehicles, and police personnel.

Great check point. They usually get you through there fast. Great job by our boarder patrol.
