Clay County Park

Drinking water and dump are at entrance. Cottonwood are towering and beautiful. The phone reservations are easiest. It is $2 fee for the service. Bathrooms are clean but basic. RV sites are nice and flat and spread out nicely..

Great stop on our trip. Power only with a dump station and water at the entrance. The spot selected for us was a little tight for our 5th wheel to get in. BUT the hosts gave us a pass to drive through an empty site and that was it. Quiet at night, Nice trail to the river and loved the shady tall trees.

The cabin was nice but it was hard to find much info online so I have attached some pictures. It has heat, a window A/C, mini fridge, and microwave. No pets (except service dogs) allowed in the cabin. Bathrooms seemed well kept at in the middle of the campground.

Is a nice shaded area between the trees very clean. And a boat dock at the end if the road

Took kids fishing. Didn't catch anything. Has trails to walk along the river. We drove through camp ground. Looked like some had electricity boxes. Very relaxing and clean! Kids keep asking when will we be back? They are ready for camping 🏕

Stayed one night at Clay County Park. Check-in is online and the camping host helped me do it on my smart phone. I van camped at a tent sight for $15 since I didn’t need a shore power connection. The restroom was clean and hot water showers are available. It was a nice and clean camping site. Be sure to drive to the nearby boat ramp to see the wide expanse of the Missouri River before you leave the area.

Most personable camp ground you could ask for. Great Camp Hosts and couldn't ask more of the fellow campers!

Went kayaking down the Missouri river and I dropped in from here. Took me about 1-1.5 hrs to get down to the bridge that crosses the river. At the landing I've seen people hanging out on the edge of the water and fishing. Saw a couple bald eagles while out on the water. If you're in the area and want to picnic or hang by water, I recommend. Easy to get to as well, have fun.

We arrived around 10:00 p.m. on a Friday and had no problems finding a site though many of them are blind-backing to get into them. The atmosphere was very nice with the shade trees and most people didn't get started moving until almost 10:00 a.m. Saturday. We would definitely consider staying here again if we're in the area.

Lovely park. There were a lot of campers that local people park and don't stay there all the time. Our daughter enjoyed the playground and being able to ride her bike around. No water at the campsites so you have to fill your tank when you come into the park.

Great mix of wooded areas and open fields.

Great campground. Large spots. Plenty of shade, hard to find a sunny spot. The newer bathrooms are nice. The older ones are kindy smelly.

Love the spots are very spacious and the restroom are very cleanly! Everyone there is very friendly!!!-

6 stars should be given for any playground with a tall metal slide. These need to be put on historic registries!
