Hideaway Café

This is an excellent restaurant for a nice evening and dinner. Our reservations had a mix up but they were very gracious and seated us. I had the catch of the day (Hogfish) which was delicious and my wife had the Shrimp Scampi. Chris our server was very helpful and friendly. Our food was very delicious and very nice presentation. Would highly recommend this restaurant if you're in the area.

This is truly the best restaurant in the Florida Keys. It is a hidden gem tucked away by the ocean. Nestled in an older style resort, the staff and food are an 11 out of 10! The chef is a true master. Everything from the appetizers to the dessert is artfully crafted. Do yourself a favor and check out this hidden treasure.

Honestly, hands down I have never had better food in all of the keys or in my life for that matter. Chef Freda is so accommodating and sweet. Her place is lovely and comfortable. Her food.... texture, appearance, temperature, and flavor are simply the best I've ever had. Thank you for a great anniversary dinner date. It's been to long I need to come back asap....

We ate dinner on the patio here this week for our Anniversary. The setting is beautiful, menu has a great selection, and our food was prompt and delicious. My wine pours were generous, however there is not a huge beer selection. The chef came out and gave us a complimentary (delicious) anniversary dessert as well. Will definitely be back. Great hidden spot. Dinners only I believe. I had the seafood crepe entree that was great and a large portion. The dessert was Raspberry Key Lime mouse!

Love this place. The food is fantastic and so is the chef. It’s hidden for sure, if it were out in the open they wouldn’t be able to seat all the people that would flock in. Soooo good.

A fantastic dinner! Worth the price, everything is well cooked, the view we had was refreshing, and the service was helpful and informative. We both had the Catch du jour which that day was hogfish, I recommend it done francese style. The complimentary salad and bread were also a highlight. We're very happy we stopped on our way down to Key West!

This was one of the best experience I had. Exceptional location on the beachfront with outstanding view. We have been there when moonrise began and it added to the atmosphere. The staff was friendly and chef herself came and greeted us with a bottle of wine we orderdd and we had a nice chat before our food being served. And great food completed our night in the beach

Hard to find but DEFINITELY worth a visit. Use a mapping app, because we didn’t see a sign, and it is above a small motel.

I stayed at the Rainbow Bend with my golden retriever and for that reason i have been for good breakfast, but never dinner, what a mistake.
Tonight i ordered to pick up, only to be surprised when the guys brought it down to me on my hotel patio !! The most amazing service and the food was excellent !!

We love this place! We know the chef, she pays attention to every detail. Tonight, our server was Wanda, so nice and knows the dishes. If you don't like Keys hospitality, don't choose the porch, the noseums bite. We can deal. They have spray to help. Food as usual was wonderful, Papillote Hogfish and French Coq au Vin. Dessert was superb, creme brulee and Bananas a la Hideaway.. Don't forget a walk on the beach after. If you have a request, ASK, they are so accommodating.

We had a meal here. It was absolutely delicious. The chef is wonderful and the staff is brilliant. The views are breathtaking. Definitely recommend coming here!

Never have I had a better meal. A gem. A culinary masterpiece. Grilled lamb and escargot...perfection. In all fairness, we have been coming here for years. Both the Chef and Robert, (owner/maitre'd) and staff provide a truly unforgettable experience. Portions have gotten smaller...prices increased. See photos

We had breakfast It was great.... The waitress was a little crazy and a really good way she loved my shirt she made our breakfast really funny. Food was really good but biscuits and gravy was not traditional biscuits with white gravy it was more of a southwestern lunch type gravy not at breakfast gravy still good but had a little spice to it. The kids have pancakes they were jumbo the blueberries falling out of the blueberry pancake was amazing.

We couldn't have asked for a better experience! The food was truly incredible. Every single thing was infused with flavor. We had the seafood crepe starter (can get as an entrée as well) then the Hogfish - spectacular! And the ocean view during our meal added to the ambience. Best of all, I got to meet the Chef-Owner Freda.

This place is incredible! You feel like your stepping back into an old Florida time capsule. It’s in the back of an old Florida looking motel - most definitely a hideaway. Only way up is up a wooden set of stairs into a small restaurant with a large narrowish patio. You need reservations and I would recommend the patio seating. The patio looks out on a beautiful little beach with palm trees and the gorgeous water. It’s very romantic & special. The food is mostly a French menu that is superb. I could skip the French onion soup but everything else was a 10/10. Highly recommend the “hideaway seafood special” - melted in my mouth. Also, the seafood crepe was a perfect large appetizer stuffed with delicious seafood. We also really loved the bacon wrapped shrimp. Service was impeccable. In summary - this place is pure magic and should be on everyone’s bucket list.. best restaurant in the keys. Not only because of the quality of food but for the atmosphere that can’t be replicated. A true, special Florida gem.

Beautiful establishment tucked within Rainbow Bend. Awesome scenic views of the beach while dining on the balcony. Very cozy and elegant ambiance. Dined here for our anniversary dinner. Met the chef and she was the one to accomodate us over the phone with reservations. The entrees were well proportioned and delicious. The berry butter cake was amazing as well. Definitely a hidden gem and we were very pleased to have been referred here. We had the duck, and the filet Mignon with shrimp.
