Shorty's BBQ

Everything I've had here has been really good. I love they have a drive thru as I usually call ahead. I've never eaten in, but when going in to order or pickup it's always seemed like a pleasant laud back atmosphere. Staff are friendly and will answer any questions you have about the menu items.

Food and service are both great. Everything I've tried there has been delicious. I have never ate in, but seems to have a nice atmosphere.

Was referred by some place that I was having some service done on my tractor trailer. The food was wonderful. Only reason why I gave the atmosphere to is it's a little barbecue shack with very little seating none of the tables appeared to have been wiped off when I was there. Had to wipe off my own table before I sat down to eat. Other than that everything was wonderful

Food was delicious! Service was timely & friendly. Items I like are bbq sandwiches, burgers, fried chicken salads & my new fave the bbq fries! A small is enough for a meal!

Wide variety of menu options. Staff was friendly. Owner always comes to the window to speak to me. I'm a creature of habit so I tend to eat and drink the same few thing but all the food here is great! Large parking area out front. Plenty of places to eat inside or on a covered porch with fans if you want that.

Shorty's bbq is the sh...a very goodly small town with a big taste. Vegan options below.

Ordered BBQ cheese fries with the cheese sauce. Top notch. Fries was crisp an hot. The BBQ was hot an full of flavor. Cheese sauce also hot an not watery. Fully recommended to give it a try.

Never a bad experience with some of the best food in town as well as service from hard working, polite, and courteous staff members.

Pretty amazing. I had the cheeseburger and bbq cheese fries. Oh and of course had to get a real Georgia Sweet Tea. This place did not disappoint my tastebuds. I want to go one more time before I leave to test the ribs.

Great place to eat.
Sometimes a good restaurant can have a bad day.Most of the time the food is good but there are times I'm not satisfied with the food.
THIS IS NOT THE CASE WITH SHORTY'S.

On average I stop by SHORTY'S 2 to 3 times a month for the last few years. I have never been disappointed with the quality or quantity of the food.
Besides the BBQ be sure to pick up their salad. I'm not much of a salad person however the way they put it together is perfect.

Excellent grilled chicken. Sides of fried okra and green beans very good. Fairly reasonable prices ,menue a little misleading since some items listed are not available. Example beef brisket sandwich, otherwise excellent place Small dining room with five or six tables and screened in porch. Couple of tables when weather is warm

Im from south florida and just recently moved to Alma, and this place is top notch, the building is a little rustic type place, pretty small inside, with a smoking porch and a front door, you go inside and order and you can sit in a table, surrounded by georgia bulldog pictures, or you can get take out. I fully recommend eating inside, though, as there are not many people and you can get as many free refills and extra sauces as you want. Better for the price. The price is great, the fried pickles and fried okra are amazing, and so is the pulled pork sandwich, the burger, and probably the most popular order that I've seen, the chicken platter. You can also get 2 sides of fries as your 2 sides if you only want fries, I wholy recommend this place. Very good food, great atmosphere, very clean, and you feel right at home in a small town. 5 stars.

This place has the "Best" food! Anything you order, you'll like.

You could drive by 'Shortys' and never know what you missed- a really good unique barbecue stand. Go inside, the drive through can be long. The staff are accomodating and customer oriented and the food, especially the ribs. I don't believe in "best barbecue", it is very artisanal and varied, but the ribs here (quick lunch stop on a LONG wet drive) were great.

We pulled up MAPS to find a place to eat. So glad we picked Shorty's. The BBQ sandwich was juicy, deliciously flavored and hot. Will stop in next time in Alma.

All of the food I tried here was amazing and I bought a whole butt and highly recommend it
