Thompson's Cove Restaurant

This is a hometown kind of place. Mostly seafood and fried. The food was good, the tea was great, and friendly service. It was a little confusing to find if you don't know where you were going.

Thursday night was 1st time we have visited this Hidden Secret. Catfish was hot crispy and not greasy. A lot of catfish houses pre cook their fish and refry them when order is place. This makes them creasy and the crust comes off. These were perfect. The crust on the fried shrimp was great. We will make the trip from Macon Again. Reminds me of quality of food served years ago at Yatesville & Barnesville Catfish Houses. GREAT JOB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It was well worth our ride we drove from Warner robins over to eat the food was excellent the service was excellent go ahead and order the second order of hush puppies they are the best light and fluffy shrimp and catfish was awesome great hospitality. You don't have to ask for refills for tea they bring you the picture great place thanks

This is a laid-back little place that offers great food. The staff is always friendly. My family and I visit often.

Born in raised in Dublin, GA. Nice to come back home and still see this place running stronger and more lively than ever. True southern hospitality, country fried seafood at its best, beautiful scenery by the pond(pond so big it's basically a small lake), and way back in the country woods by Toomsboro, GA. Catfish, shrimp, and hush puppies are still the best I've ever had.

Thompson’s Cove is WONDERFUL! Read all the great reviews because because they are ABSOLUTELY TRUE! The food is delicious and plentiful! The shrimp and oysters are fried to perfection, but I have not tried the catfish. The price is fair, the service is fast and friendly! The cole slaw is the best I have ever tasted and the hush puppies are light as a feather! The home maid lemon pie is outstanding! I love eating there because it is CONSISTENTLY GOOD and isn’t that what keeps us coming back again and again? LOVE THIS PLACE AND THE PEOPLE!

Rustic building With dining room looking out on a Nice view of a beautiful lake and surrounding area. Service was very fast and friendly, the food was excellent and very well prepared.The catfish was cooked to perfection also the lightest hush puppies I've ever had and the fried shrimp had a very tasty very light coating. The cheese grits were very creamy and also delicious

We had a great time with friends here. The food was good and the kids loved looking at all the turtles in the lake off the back deck. Beautiful view! It is way out in the country though and you cannot see it from the road at all.

This is a great spot for fresh seafood but come early if possible and they have a deck on back where the kiddo's can feed the fish and turtles.

It was my first time there and I totally enjoyed it! My friends and I met the owner. Sweet lady! She walked around speaking to everyone. The food was fantastic! I would highly recommend it! Ordered the catfish and within about 8 mins its was up and ready fresh and hot!

Drove 35 miles to Thompson's & was not disappointed. Some of the best hush puppies, coleslaw and shrimp I have ever eaten in 70 + years. Rustic & rural, but a great place to chow down. And if you like sweet tea, then you'll be happy. Take the family.

Enjoyed the ride through the countryside to get there. Real good food and the staff was very attentive. Prices aren't to bad for what you get. Good food and good atmosphere. We well be regulars

Such a cute little family restaurant. Nothing fancy, always delicious seafood. They are famous for their amazing hushpuppies and fried catfish. Beautiful setting over the family’s property and pond.

Love this family owned seafood restaurant set back in the pines overlooking the lake. Some of the best catfish we've ever had. Definitely worth the drive! 🙌🙌

The seafood was delicious, the atmosphere not so much, but hey, you go for the food. My husband ordered frog legs and said they were the best he has ever eaten.

Hidden Gem in Toomsboro. Beautiful views of lake. Spacious inside dinning room restaurant and nice outside deck.
Cod fish and devil crab delicious. French good sides also.

As with every visit we very much enjoyed our latest visit this week. The food and service are always consistently very good and worth the 25 mile drive. Keep it up!!!
