Cantina Taco Loco

This place was recommended by a friend who had previously eaten here. We arrived as a party of 6 and were promptly seated. Our server quickly came to take our drink and food orders. There were plenty of complimentary chips and salsa to enjoy while we waited for our orders.

The restaurant is clean and nicely decorated. There were remnants of Valentine's Day decor. Our food was served promptly. Everything tasted hot and fresh. The portion sizes are generous and the prices are very reasonable. I would definitely return again!

Pro-tip: Be aware that the restaurant is divided into two separate dining areas that are literally around the corner from each other. If you are meeting people, make sure you go to the right one!

Now it's not a five star restaurant but if you're looking very authentic birria tacos this little gem in the middle of nowhere is a place that blew my mind and expectations. 2 things I would LOVE to see an improvement on is the crispyness of the taco and a slightly thicker consummé I understand if it is made this way because the region. Just my preference. 8.6 out 10 for the tacos.

Fantastic chips, guac and tacos at great prices. The ribeye is especially good and I’m not even a steak guy.

If I could give more stars I would had absolutely amazing experience 10/10 best tasting food I’ve ever had I would recommend it to anyone best first experience I will definitely keep coming back to this place I put it off for year on trying it bc I’m funny about new places but hands down the best place too eat the lady’s in men are very help and generous thanks guys!!!!!!

We had a wonderful waiter, he's a chill guy and he always makes me feel welcome! He took our order promptly and we didn't have to wait long at all for chips & salsa, or for our food to arrive!

The food was amazing! The presentation is always great and the ambiance in the restaurant is top-notch.

I got some Al Pastor tacos (can never finish three of them, two is the magic number usually!) And my girlfriend got a chicken burrito.

Every time it’s a 10/10! Nothing can beat the Taco Loco! Especially their authentic tacos! The most tender and wonderfully seasoned meat, topped with fresh veggies and house made salsa verde y salsa rojo you can’t beat this place! Will always recommend.

The drink is the sunset Ave and the burrito is the ribeye with queso. Prices are very reasonable and the food and drink were great.

I love dining at Cantina & Taco Loco! The staff are always friendly and welcoming, the atmosphere is always inviting, as if it's saying let have a good time. The food is always fresh and hot. I swear they have some of the best guacamole I've ever tasted. I always get the acp loco. You can't go wrong with chicken, steak, and shrimp over a bed of rice topped with cheese. Please ask Lexy to make you a hennycolada( Pina colada with a shot of Hennessey)....you won't be disappointed! If you're lucky, you'll catch the mariachi band playing. Restaurant and bathrooms are clean, and when they have the doors open facing sunset, it really sets the vibes .

The best tacos In town. Their Ribeye tacos are to die for. Everything about this place is amazing , their staff, the environment and the food. It’s definitely my go to taco spot when I’m in town.

Our favorite restaurant ever! They have the very best Mexican food, once you eat here you will not want to go anywhere else! We eat here all the time! Very nice owners and the wait staff is very friendly and kind. Love this place! Recommended to all my friends, they too go here all the time now....they drive from out of town).

Very small but homey. Family owned local using fresh ingredients when possible (I had a mahi taco and shrimp taco) but they were excellent. The salsa was a pleasant surprise and probably the best I've ever had. Not real hot or chunky and full of flavor. The chips are made in-house and are a perfect match for the salsa. I'll be going back, for sure!

Best in town hands down, no comparison!! The food is always delicious, never had a single bad experience of the hundred of visits. Their tacos are absolutely delicious, not to mention all their great deserts. The location is just icing on the cake! The owner is such an awesome guy too!

I came to this establishment as on a whim since I’ve never visited this town but glad I came ! The food was delicious and you can tell they make it fresh which was a plus! The owner was super sweet and amicable. The waitress were also very kind . Cute establishment and clean too! Not gonna lie, the price was definitely a bit pricey but for food this good, I don’t mind. Would recommend for sure.

The very best spot in Asheboro to enjoy delicious, authentic Mexican cuisine. While the menu is smaller than most of the competing establishments in the area, the place has the absolute freshest ingredients, around! As a matter of fact, when compared to the many Mexican restaurants in Asheboro, this is, hands down, the most gourmet of all! Their daily specials are truly delectable dishes, with amazing prices to match. I love their $4 Mahi Mahi taco most of all. There are a number of vegetarian options, as well. And, even when you place an order to go, you get a complimentary order of fresh tortilla chips and salsa with it, which is a great touch! There is no parking lot, but I always manage to find a spot on the street right on the block, so it's never been a major inconvenience for me, although I usually visit the establishment around 2pm.

Has become my favorite place for tacos in NC. I am just amazed at the quality of restaurants that I have found in Asheboro. Introducing friends to the place as often as I can. I literally could eat here everyday. Just beat Chubby Tacos in Raleigh. Makes my mouth water just thinking about the tacos. The price is awesome. Service is awesome. They are expanding already. Love the location as well. Added a photo of the Hawaiian Taco. There were three of us that just ate there last week. All of us had the Hawaiian Taco. Pretty much eat here once a week.
