Cabana Cafe

This place is a historical local treat. We really enjoyed our lunch today. Recommend if you're in Newberry.

Warm atmosphere with clean bar. Food is also excellent. Friendly and cordial staff, great appetizers, and amazing main dishes will make me remember and come to this place again.

This is by far one of the best restaurants in town. The best service, food and appetizers. I have helped the owner for 17 years and have meet some of the friendliest folks at dinner. I enjoy helping and love the waitress and owner. We dine here very often and have always gotten a friendly welcome. When you drive a hour for dinner, it must be a great place.

Best Restaurant in SC, bar none. Anyone that goes to this restaurant and has a bad experience is most likely because they entered with an entitlement attitude or thought this was the local Mickey D’s.
We’ve never had a bad experience or a bad meal. The owner and staff are phenomenal. Great service and great food. In fact it’s so good that we drive over an hour to go there every Friday night.

For dinner, if you want a ribeye that is as big as the plate and cooked to perfection, Cabana is the place to go! The baked potatoes are fluffy and loaded with all the good stuff. One of my other favorites on the menu is the shrimp and grits. For lunch try the Zanzibar and sausage-corn-chowder soup. The owner and staff have always been super friendly and absolutely professional. My favorite place to dine in or take out!!

My husband and I had a delicious meal here on Oct. 27. The chicken salad appetizer is outstanding. The steak and lobster I had with the Cabana rice was one of the most delectible meals I have had. I highly recommend. What a little gem of a restaurant this is!

Wife and I visited for first time on our 19th anniversary. The food and service was both stellar. I had the peppered ribeye and it was fantastic. This place will be a repeat. Loved it!! Thank you to the staff for taking the time to ensure we were cared for and made to feel valued.

I took my wife for her xx birthday and enjoyed a wonderful meal. The service was great and we "feasted" on the Surf and Turf for Mama and Prime rib for me. Before dinner we also enjoyed a drink in the "Cellar" Cigar Bar. Due to Covid no smoking allowed. Highly recomend.

I love everything about this Jewel of a restaurant! The food is exquisite (lovely flavor and preparation), the staff is wonderfully hospitable, and the Chef-Owner is amazingly humble and gracious. Without question, I would encourage all who live in or visit Newberry (and its surrounding areas) to dine here for a fantastic experience!

Great place to eat! Nice atmosphere and waitresses and staff are very pleasant. The food is great. Everything I've ever gotten has been very good. Cabana stays busy all the time which is a good sign and you get your food quickly.

Meals are always perfect. Very attentive staff. I picked up a to go order tonight and was asked at least 4 different times if I had been helped yet, which I had. Got to love that level of attention

The service was excellent and so was the food. The portions were very large (which made up some for how expensive it was). A nice date night experience.

We were with a Wedding Rehearsal party and service was excellent, food was delicious. We had prime rib cooked to perfection, clam chowder and both were well presented.

Great place! The grilled zucchini is a must have if the grill is not busy. Must ask chef before ordering. She needs room on the grill to cook the zucchini. The loaded bake potatoe is a great addition to the meal.

Had my family Christmas party at Cabana Cafe. I live in Tampa Bay Florida, so had no clue what to expect (had never eaten here). HIGHLY recommend anyone drive over to Newberry to try Cabanna Cafe! Absolutely incredible menu, amazing service, and SUPERB food! And it was great for our family event. Bar downstairs where everyone could socialize and then upstairs to eat. Loved every single aspect of the experience.

We stopped in for lunch and had the Soup of the Day (Clam Chowder) and a roast beef sandwich. Of course taste is subjective, but we both agreed we'd never had better. Chowder was New England style. Not too thick and no wine or sherry... or whatever it is that some places use. The roast beef was cooked to perfection had just the right amount of horseradish in the spread. We'll be back.

The Cabana is the best restaurant that we have ever graced the doors of, and we have been to more fine restaurants than you can shake a stick at. (That is Southern for a lot). The food is fantastic and the presentation is always top notch along with the service. If you are wanting a wonderful meal and experience just take the time to visit the Cabana in Newberry, SC.

If you are ever going through Newberry and can lay down a little extra for one of those rare experiences and great meals in the historic district. The pimento cheese is the best ever. Strawberry shortcake will be consumed no matter how much you ate for dinner. Always, hands down. This is a bucket list joint that you will revisit.

A true dining experience! The best food. Trained waiting staff. And a wonderful location. Always our first choice for dining.
