Oct 8, 2022 Was mine and my kids 1st visit. My husband has many childhood memories here and around the area. It was nice to see and hear him talk about the memories. This is a beautiful area especially in the fall time!

A great place to take a stroll to the river bank and maybe cast a pole. The view is simply remarkable. There are picnic tables to have a bite of lunch as well.

This is definitely on our list to come back to and spend more time here. We did the honey creek loop which was great but would really like to spend more time at this little area. Not sure what the fishing is like, but I hope to find out!

Great trail! Not too hard except the bit up and over the hill but that parts short lived. Starting by the bridge makes for a more gradual climb and steeper descent. One small set of steps/ladder but it’s well built and shouldn’t be a problem

Nice little river access and picnic spot. Pit toilets even have the fluffy stuff.

Burnt Mill Bridge is a scenic spot and a nice place for a picnic or to take up a hike into Big South Fork NRRA.

I have been interested in those ‘Broken Bridge’ which has some sort of mixed feeling about lives. Very suitable for solo trip and meditation.

We hiked here on the John Muir Trail, and it was a very pleasant spot to have lunch. Quite a few people were enjoying relaxing in and by the river. Some even floated down on tubes and hiked back up. Very nice spot.

Absolutely awesome trail! Although the loop about 5 miles long it is very easy hike, so take the family 👨‍👩‍👧‍👧 and the dog 🐶. And of course you don't have to hike entire loop. But if you enjoy backpacking there are serval great Campsites along the trail! 🏕

Nearby is Bannister Ford Access on Little Niangua River there is decent gravel parking on west side of bridge. Good fishing downriver to the east.

Beautiful, easy to get to, and great place to get in the water and cool off. The river here is shallow and slow. The old tressel bridge is closed for driving but great for photos.

This is a nice easy trail. It's only about 4.5 miles and it is mostly flat. This is a very relaxing short day hike or an overnighter with good fishing.
