Yummy food. But the soup was the best. My Brisket was a bit dry but very flavorful. I really liked the ribs. We will be back.

Absolutely and amazing place to eat!!!! The “cups” of drinks were the perfect size!!! 😂 and the food was top quality!!!! We had two people who do not enjoy bean 🫘, both LOVED the delicious addition to their meal!!!!!Plus, along with the great food, you had some AMAZINGLY SWEET, and quick service!!!! Five stars ALL THE WAY!!!!!!!!!!

Great BBQ, fun and welcoming atmosphere, delicious desserts (especially the Bourbon St Pecan Pie). The "Back 40" dining area can be opened up to the outside during the cooler months for semi-outdoor dining.

This place has the most amazing brisket. I love the sauce it comes with. It takes it up a level! The potato salad and coleslaw are very good. The servers keep the beans and drinks coming. Good atmosphere and amazing service!

This was only our second visit to this restaurant despite living in the area for many years. Walking through the restaurant to "The Back 40" was quite a surprise because my family and I had only sat in the front balcony area the one time prior. The wait staff were very friendly and experienced; basically what you'd expect at a well established restaurant. The only "issue" we had was when our 4 year old exclaimed quite loudly that he didn't like the brisket because "it tastes like goat" but he did like the turkey "because it tastes like beef". You know they're doing something right though when the dining area fills up with law enforcement personnel.

I really like the atmosphere. If you want to have a nice big family dinner this is the place. Service was very on point thanks to are server Chris. It was a great meal definitely would go back. I would have give. A 5 stars in the food but my brisket was a little dry. That could also be because I took to long to eat and wanted to review it. Great places!

This place was really good. Our group was really large, but the staff managed to handle us easily. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable, and offered us recommendations.for.other places to eat while we were in town. The bean soup they served was good, I ate my friend's also (he doesn't care for beans). The brisket I got was pretty good, but a little on the dry side. I had a few bites with no sauce, and it was tasty.

We always have a great experience here. The food is excellent, service is quick and friendly and the atmosphere is authentic South Texas. You can even sit on the screened in porch on a nice day. The Banana Pudding is just like mom made!

I drive 45 min to eat at this place, it's so good! The brisket sandwich, the spud and the beans are out of this world! Consistently good food every time. The banana pudding is a must after your meal. Great service and great atmosphere.

Went here with my parents this past week. It was great. I had a baked potato with brisket that was so big, I am still eating from it two days later. The ranchero beans were also awesome. One of the best things about this place is that they have beautiful Longhorns in the back pasture. Service was quick and very friendly.

The beans are great. Love the iced tea in a pitcher. I can recommend the brisket, ribs, and the stuffed baked potato!

Really enjoyed this place! The “Chopped Cheddar Spud” loaded potato was as delicious as it sounded. “Jumbo Idaho Baked Potato Stuffed with Chopped Brisket, Topped with Cheddar Cheese, Sour Cream & Real Whipped Butter” served with “World Famous Pinto Bean Soup” (and free refill), all for $12.95 !!! Greeted and Seated immediately upon entry, and the spacious rear dining room had plenty of windows and lots of hard wood, overlooking a scenic pasture where a horse and longhorn cattle lazed about. Pinto beans appeared instantly and the order was placed and served in about 5 minutes tops. Hot, fresh, and loaded with meat, blanketed with cheddar cheese, and two healthy scoops—one butter and one sour cream—on top. A full, delicious meal in a clean, friendly place. And they even had Topo Chico! Plus plenty of beers and wines to choose from. This place is a must-do for visitors and locals alike. (As a “pescatarian” with an occasional craving for meat — this meal did the trick.

Great place for BBQ. I lived in the valley for 20 years (1992-2012) and frequented this restaurant. My family has been away form the valley for 11 years. During a visit back to the valley last week we stopped in for lunch. Still as good as it was when I lived there. My wife and I always have this place at the top of our list when we go to the valley. Oops! I almost forgot to mention the large refreshing Ice Teas that are served at the Long Horn. A great addition to the meal and a good way to deal with the South Texas heat. 5 stars*****

First time here been planning it for months now and I must say for bbq this is as good as it gets for local spots.
1. Brisket was good not chewy at all
2. Turkey was amazing
3. The beans are like smoky flavored really good if you like pepper if that makes sense
4. The banana pudding is legit this ain’t no jello pudding fake ahh stuff this is the real deal 100% would try if you like banana pudding
Overall things I’d recommend to others would be sit where the fans aren’t on it does get cold or bring a jacket , other than that super good would definitely come again.

We here with a bunch of work colleagues, we had the all you can eat for $30 per person, it’s well worth it and you can get so much and it’s all freaking delicious, especially the Turkey of all things, it was a massive hit!
I would highly recommend this place if you want to experience TX BBQ at its best! You get a mug of bean soup when you arrive and it’s delicious!

Good BBQ. Everybody loves the beans and banana pudding. I've had great brisket some days and decent to good brisket other days. The salad was pretty impressive as well. Food is ready pretty quickly.

The atmosphere was noisy, but the food was awesome as usual! I had pink lemonade and a duo combo. Awesome charro beans to, but watch out, they are hot.

Have been coming here since 1998. They have provided consistent service and the plates are served well. It will always be guaranteed. I ordered the 3 meat plate. Brisket, turkey, & ribs. Came with potato salad, onion, pickles, bbq sauce, and coleslaw. ✅ it was very good.
Had banana pudding and it was super delicious.
