Worked there from 1974-1986.
When the oil field went bust the result was over 5000 steelworkers were laid off in August 1982. Lone Star Steel never fully recovered.

Worked there in 1962 & enjoyed every minute on the pipe racks tallying pipes loading onto trucks. Good pay, good people. Left to go back to dental school.
