Butter Churn Restaurant

I could not stop talking about this place! I was visiting from San Antonio and this place was nothing like the places in my city! The food is so delicious! Mac and chz was my favorite! The staff was so friendly! I wish I could pack this place and move it to SA but then it would lose its charm and little town feeling! Most definitely I will be back !!!

The food is outstanding, as always. Waitstaff is quick and friendly, as always. This place never fails to serve wonderful and varied food. The salad buffet is huge, the main dish buffet has so many different selections it’s difficult to decide. The vegetable selections were particularly good. Greens, cabbage, stewed tomatoes. Yummy! The rolls were good as was the dessert selection. I didn’t save room tho! I would consider this a bucket list type of place. Real, homemade southern food.

We picked this on our way home from Corpus because of the reviews. It is an old school, small town buffet with home style cooking. They have a rotating daily menu. We were there for Sunday lunch. It gets busy with the after church rush. The fried fish, brisket, and stuffed crab was good. The salad bar has lots of options. It reminded me of a similar place in the small town I grew up in.

I must say this might be the best all you can eat restaurant, I’ve experienced thus far!! The food was phenomenal. Nothing was dry. It all had great seasoning. I highly recommend eating here if you ever get the chance.

I love this place so much , I wanted to come for my anniversary meal , there are steakhouses etc. In Corpus Christi where I live but frankly my husband makes better, and I like feeling like my southern grandmother is in the kitchen cooking for me. The meatloaf was outstanding , the hush puppies had just enough spice , and as always I love the banana pudding and the cobbler , as well as the chocolate fluff. And the salad bar is always fresh. In this day and age of all the restaurants making excuses , giving you smaller portions ,and food that can be not as good as pre pandemic , and higher prices. This place can be counted on for great food , happy servers , and good prices and plenty of food. Go there .

It was a crowded SUNDAY but our party of 6 were seated immediately. The salad bar was stocked with scrumptious add ons. Fried chicken & fish was piping hot. There were plenty of green vegetables even seasoned beets to round out your meal!!!

This place is AWESOME! My server, Amanda, was great, too. The food was good and fresh. The grilled chicken and beef tips were some of the best I've ever had.

There's a big parking lot beside it to park a truck, too.

Almost gave a 4 because the person who seated us didn’t even look up at us showed us the table and before we can sit down asked what we wanted to drink we’ve never been there so we didn’t know what they had or what we wanted yet and was not pleasant or friendly at all!! Seemed annoyed the moment she got up from sitting on her phone. The place was very quite so I’m not sure why she was so bothered BUT!!!! Theresa came moments later even while she was trying to train and greeted us asked if we’ve ever been there and welcomed us and told us about the buffet and what’s being served all with a smile !
I gave a 5 because the food was amazing and great prices. Theresa made us feel welcome and very sweet friendly and accommodating (thank you) I hope you are appreciated!!

Butter Churn has always been a great experience to visit and have a meal.
The food is always great tasting with a down home taste and a great selection.
The staff are always very welcoming and treat you with kindness and attention the entire time.
I always bring my family every time we drive through the area.

The food is always outstanding. This is the only buffet I have been to where the food is always fresh and delicious. I plan on continuing to eat there. You need to find out for yourself and you will know what I'm talking about.

I eat there every chance I get to Odem for work. The food is home cooked, with many options and full of flavors. There are so many great options, and I've never had a bad experience.
They have a pleasant atmosphere, and service is top-notch.

Butter Churn on Thanksgiving is Great! Turkey, ham, chicken, dressing, mashed potatoes, salad and deserts for days.... Very organized and service was great. Thank you for spending your Thanksgiving catering to the public. Bless you all.

Nice place to visit with family, who came from out of town. We love it here and usually dine at Butter Churn when we get the chance! We'll definitely be back, we've been coming here for years.

A really great buffet! The food was excellent and plentiful. The facilities were very clean and the staff was very friendly. The grilled pork chops were out of this world. Really great experience.

If there were 10 stars I'd put that. This restaurant is a gem in a small town. I left happy as hell. It's a buffet and I came on steak day. It was awesome.

Tables are nicely apart. Service is a lil cold. Food is good. Okra had good flavor, rolls are soft and fluffy, not a lot of dessert options..

Very delicious food, great options and staff is nice.

Crystal did an excellent job with great customer service, making sure we had everything we needed at the table on a daily basis. The food was excellent and a great atmosphere for a big family gathering.

I went here on a school trip maybe 2-3 years ago and we stopped by here to get food and they had some very delicious food it's like golden Corral but way yummy especially the ice cream
