High Ground Cafe and Espresso Bar

Not only was I able to find several great gluten free options on their menu, but I was also pleasantly surprised at the impressive customer service. I had an issue with Door Dash and they were very gracious and helped me sort it out. The coffee was delicious and the breakfast sandwich was awesome too. I highly recommend!

Super good coffee and food. It can be as cheap as you'd like or a full size breakfast if you want. We opted for lattes, a quiche (little pricy for what you get), and a giant breakfast burrito (be hungry before you get this monster) with homemade hot sauce. Both were good and the burrito was one of the best I've ever had. Definitely a good place to stop if your in the area.

They also had brunch options and some beer and wine for later in the day.

This place rules. Coffee is excellent, service is great, atmosphere is excellent. I really enjoy the roasting area being a central focal point when you're in the lobby. Very cool. Owner had always been welcoming and you can tell he cares about the quality of his business. Top notch place.

We really enjoyed eating here for breakfast! I had an açaí bowl sans bananas due to an allergy and they were very accommodating, and it was really delicious. My husband had the brekkie which had hams, egg, bacon and cheese in a bubble waffle which was pretty good. Their coffee was excellent as well! I just wish this was in a better location to be able to go to more often when we visit Sioux City.

We had the Sausage Sammie, Breakfast Burrito, and a pot of French Press. Everything was delicious, the coffee was brewed for the appropriate amount of time and brewed well. Highly recommend!

Food was delicious and service was great. Got a breakfast burrito and high ground acai bowl and finished both! Surprisingly finished both and really liked the hot sauce. Sweet and spicy but not too spicy. Also grabbed some energy drinks and flatbreads to go for friend and wife and they were happy!

I went the first time on Thursday the 22 in the afternoon. It was somewhat busy for the time but the gal at the counter did her job and never seemed panicked. The team quickly got our orders out mich faster than I anticipated. I had a berry bowl which proved to be amazing. I highly recommend checking this lovely place out. They have great service and excellent food.

Good Gluten free options with a friendly knowledgeable staff. A good place to have a friendly conversation or study. Many coffees, treats, and knickknacks.

I ordered the veggie quiche and it was the best quiche I've ever had! I also ordered a chai tea latte. That was very good, also, and had a cute little squirrel art on it!

I had the breakfast burrito and a coffee, at first I wasn’t too impressed by the presentation however the taste makes up for it! The hot sauce is amazing. I highly recommend this place!

High Ground came to our office for catered drinks for a few hours. The coffee was fantastic!! The servers were super friendly and accommodating. Will definitely be visiting the store front as well! I was able to try the Lavendar Lemonade (GREAT) and their Iced Coffee with sugarfree vanilla syrup.

Extremely friendly staff who clearly love their jobs. Very knowledgeable about coffee and willing to explain tasting notes and growing regions. The nitro cold brew was great and the breakfast sammie hit the spot on a long drive so much so I forgot to take a picture of it! Great outdoor patio as well.

Friendly staff with a calm and welcoming atmosphere. I had a breakfast flatbread and it was delicious. Scrambled eggs, bacon, and a peppery mayo. I'll be back to try the Acai bowls and of course some coffee. Happy to have places like this in my hometown, it feels inspired by the bigger cities.

Edit: Came back and got two Puffles. You have to try these. End of Story.

Loved hanging out here. Coffee was great but I absolutely loved the Avocado Sammy, a little small but still delicious. Everyone was super nice and friendly. Got to taste test their pretzel bites (more like bagel bites) but either way they were amazing too! There's also a corner full of small business products. Keep up the great work!

I loved the atmosphere very comfortable and stylish. They support local vendors. Sit Pretty Barkery has a cute set up with some products available and another vendor with lotions and great little gifts. Breakfast tacos were delicious husband said burrito was great, and staff was friendly.

Okay. Breakfast tacos are amazing. I would get these every single day. The spicy hot sauce is very very good. There’s a sweet and spicy twist to it. I would buy a bottle if they sold it. Breakfast burrito was very big, I could not finish it myself. Flavor was good. I got an iced vanilla latte that was decent, but too expensive if you ask me.

Delicious food and great friendly service. Great for breakfasts and coffee lovers.

I asked for a drink made by another coffee shop, and this one was better.

We stopped there after church and the food and drinks were delicious!! We ordered the Sausage sammie, the High ground Acai bowl and the Morning Standard breakfast pizza. I've also had the Breakfast burrito, it was huge! and the homemade hot sauce was really good. For drinks we got an Americano w vanilla cream and a Raspberry latte. 5 out of 5 STARS!
